Former President Carter Blasts Bush

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 19) - Former President Carter says President Bush 's administration is "the worst in history" in international relations, taking aim at the White House's policy of pre-emptive war and its Middle East diplomacy.

The criticism from Carter, which a biographer says is unprecedented for the 39th president, also took aim at Bush's environmental policies and the administration's "quite disturbing" faith-based initiative funding.

"I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history," Carter told the Arkansas Democrat -Gazette in a story that appeared in the newspaper's Saturday editions. "The overt reversal of America's basic values as expressed by previous administrations, including those of George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon and others, has been the most disturbing to me." (AP)

If you include international relations and wars, probably. In other respects the supremist Andrew Johnson was bad enough.
Voted : No
Indecisiveness in the face of conflict might be considered by SOME as worse. (but, I'm not sure I agree with that, I'm just presenting it for consideration) Jimmy represented THAT (indecisiveness) to many people during his presidency. That's one of the main reasons he got "the boot" in 1980. Don't get me wrong... I have a lot of respect for Jimmy Carter's beliefs, etc... However, it seems a bit hypocritical in an election year. Obviously, it's a timed speculation which coincides with a General Election, and is arguably intended to discredit Republicans in general.
I find it ironic that Jimmy and George took DIFFERENT paths with the SAME adversary; and both came under fire for it. But now it's George's hour to endure the heat.

Voted : No
Jimmy Carter was worse. Even Teddy Kennedy ran against Jimmy Carter the second time around.
Voted : Yes

^ So did Ronald Reagan, lol.

The crappy rightwing vote spammer is on the loose, again.

I agree with, respect and admire Jimmy, he is one of the greatest humanitarian known to mankind...He continues to speak the truth no matter how vicious his critics are of him...

It never fails to amaze me how people will support Bush over Carter and these very same people continue to support Bush after everything this incompetent has done thus far and continues to do...DESTROY this county, unbelieveable...

Once again, excellent ballot Cranky!

Jimmy's administration was pretty bad and it seems he continues wreak havoc long after his term has expired, but yea Bush sucks.
Voted : Yes
As time goes on it will become a lot clearer which Administration has/is doing (done) the most to hurt this Country, cost the most with the least to show for it, most scandalous, most misjudgements, most indifference to the needs of U.S. citizens, most lies, most willing to break the laws of the land, most unwilling to admit mistakes, quite possibly most chicken hawks, most mob-like, etc, etc, etc ....and the number of loyalists who would blindly follow or are in a perpetual state of denial is amazing...
LOL. The crappy vote spammer has now pumped up the "no" vote to 35.
Voted : No that would be Carter's administration
Apparantly Carter has grown so old and foolish that he has confused his own administration with W's.Remember Carter was the genuis who removed the Shau and allowed religious fanatics to take over Iran, leaving us in our current situation.

Also although Bush is an abosolute failure as a president atleast he does not harbor resentment against a certain religious/ethnic group.

Vote spammer . . . we know who you are.

Take care.

Corrupt, you are right. Bush doesn't harbor resentment against any religious/ethnic group, lol.

Some enchanted evening....
Hey Carter's an expert on this issue. He set the standard for worst administrations. If anyone should be the judge of an administration it should be him.
new poll idea!
How pathetic is vote spamming, especially when everyone knows who you are?

- Super pathetic
- ultra pathetic
- extra pathetic

it's just desperate, it's seems to be the same type of person too hmmm, that goes along with their usual dishonesty.

My, another popular ballot. All those votes ...
It really depends on what standard one judges the man by, crank. Millard Fillmore was a dud. Some would say he was worse. Andrew Johnson, as previously noted, the only president impeached for what I would consider an impeachable offense, was also really bad. Andrew Jackson blatantly defied the Supreme Court itself and sent the South Eastern Native Americans packing on the Trail of Tears... That WAS criminal, (by standards set by the Supreme Court itself) but he got away with it, didn't he? Franklin Pierce, a direct ancestor of Bush, was no prize. And Jimmy Carter did come under a lot of criticism. I have to agree with the "sage's" soothsayer. History will tell. But, suffice it to say that if the Presidential performances were put on a bell curve, THIS President would be way back there with the bummers, IMO. LMAO at your ballot pic. As for vote spamming, it seems a bit petty, doesn't it?

Carter didn't remove the Shah, that worthless corrupt bastard fell due to his own weight. There was nothing the U.S. could do, except invade, I suppose. The Shah could only be propped up for so long. And it seems a bit ironic that the U.S. and the Brits put him into power as dictator by overthrowing a democratic government because it's president had the audacity to suggest that Iranian oil should belong to the Iranians.

And simply, and fairly, pointing out that the Israelis are creating an apartheid state isn't anti-Semitism, despite the AIPAC-inspired spin.

Voted : Yes
You'll have to excuse the peanut farmer. He's a little slow to pick up on these sorts of things.
What other president took our country to war for NO GOOD REASON? What other president believed that he was told by God to bring about the apocalypse? Has there been any others? Have we ever had such insanity? Can we survive another year and a half of it? Bush is the worst -- Carter was 100% correct!
Looks like this ballot has been fiddlefaddled.
but they really win hands down when it comes to making up fake reasons for what they're doing
