Austrailia Sucks! I couldn't say which country is the best, since I've only been in about five. Shoud have voted for the country that doesn't committ genocide even though by all rights they should - Israel. canada, japan and australya are also up there

In New York in the U.S.A. you have the best that america has to offer and canada is over the border where the U.S. dolar counts a hell of a lot more. for fucks sake. you fuckin americans are so fuckin stupid. Okeedokee. Australia is the only other place I would live other than USA. WE are the best. We can kick anyones ass and still be home for dinner. We're talking about the greatest country, not the greatest military. The USA's media is terrible, most Americans I've met know little about what goes on beyond their borders and they have a dreadfully distorted sense of history. Much of the time they repeat the mantra that the US is the greatest country in the world without thinking about what that might mean or having any knowledge of other countries. There is a regular assumption that the country with the greatest military in the world must be the greatest country. This is ludicrous. (For years the USSR had the greatest military in the world. In 1939 Germany had the greatest military in the world.) You'd think that a truly great country would have low crime, a high standard of living for most of its citizens and excellent diplomatic relations with other countries. Most of all, it would be admired by other nations. This was true of the USA until about 50 years ago. Thereafter, for good or ill, it embarked on a series of unethical foreign policies in order to defeat communism and has ended up hypocritical, embittered and despised despite having great founding principles. There is much to admire about the US, but it has become a fearful, insular, insecure nation. (Only the insecure would regulalrly have to trumpet their own greatness.) I say Canada low crime,low pollution,intelligent friendly people,beatiful landscape and many opportunities for people of any ethnic background.Oh and hockey who doesnt love hockey?

The US does have the best armed forces in the world but that's not even the tip of the iceberg. Our country is huge and has a varied climate that would suit anyone's needs. Our country is one of the most beautiful, If not, the most beautiful with natural wonders. Canadians may say otherwise but we have anything that Canada has to offer and then some. We are one of the most powerful countries economically, we have plentiful natural resources, we have an excellent quality of life contrary to others' beliefs, and we DO NOT live in fear due to terrorists as some of you suggested. There are "ghettos" or poverty stricken areas in a few places, but that's not due to problems in government but rather the people who live there. There tends to be a vicous cycle of poverty; due to the poverty there tens to be a lack of secondary education, witch then commonly ends up in poverty again. Remind you, that's not exactly common in America. And about crime, it's not bad unless your in a city like Detroit... Then maybe you'd want to lock your doors, that's about it. In the end the US is the best, hence the constant immigrating to it whether legal or illegal... but that's another problem.... Hmmmm it's so ironic how Aussie Fuckheads would back up there own country just like there trait's Arrogant,Pig Headed,Ignorant Racist White Trash Etc in brackets (VILLAGE IDIOT'S) in plain English.
