Apparently he scoffed at a three-year, $10-mil-per-year contract extension by the Minnesota Timberwolves and said, "Why would I want to help them win a title? They're not doing anything for me. I'm at risk. I have a lot of risk here. I got my family to feed." Sure, he'd be taking a pay cut from this season's salary of $14.6 mil this year, but I can't see how he'd be hurting for cash at all.

What the hell could he be feeding his family that would require him to make over $10 million?

To put it into perspective, that's $27,397.26 per day. Assuming three meals per day, that's a mere $9,132.42 per meal. I don't know how many kids he has, so I'll overshoot and say he has four kids. Latrell, a wife, and four kids equals six mouths to feed, and at only $1522.07 per person per meal.

(Yes, I know, he also has various other expenses, like four houses, twenty cars, security guards, and all sorts of other stuff, as well as utilities. Let's just say he can already afford this.)

Seriously, though, I've been led to believe, from the sports talking-heads, that he's still smarting over that pay he lost from that season when he became the Golden State Strangler, and he expects the Knicks to "make it up" to him. Ah, the foibles of the rich...
