One rarely hears of a 'broken woman' but one often hears of a 'broken man'. I'm sure broken women exist too and I mention this so as not to post a sexist ballot. I refer to someone who has been downtrodden so often and for so long that they're never going to recover. Someone SHAT upon and FUCKED over so many times that they're going to be melancholy until they die or kill themselves. Nervous breakdown, self-hatred, self-loathing, no self-confidence. Just what is the point of living? Half of you reading this would rather I were gone. And I concur with you.

We are the only ones that can pull ourselves up out of that emotional hole. Shut that negative voice out and be happy with who you are. Love yourself and others will too. You control your mind, no one else so pick yourself up and head out into the world to find things that make you happy. Misery is not noble. Surround yourself with things that make you feel good and walk away from the bad!!! Casual sex is always good as well!

I can often relate to this. When it seems like I'm hopelessly all out of options I try to beat my "broken man" feeling by thinking out escapist fantasies. Although I have a few doubts about how healthy this is, so far it seems to be working as far as helping me cope. It brings my spirits up enough to have some confidence in whatever I'm doing.

broken..no, scratched a bit, maybe. After the break up of my longest relationship (3 years), I have some major issues with the C word (commitm..me..men.., see I can't even finish it). I think I enjoy my time alone and like being able to pursue my many passions... however, occasionally I get lonely and bring a boy toy home for the night.. and discard him once he becomes boring.
