I would say easily the U.S.A. The US has many different vistas from desert to wetlands, so it would be a favourite for me too.

Yeah vistas are cool man. USA is the prettiest, most beautiful jesus christ, anyone who says the U.S.A is severely deprived of experience. Get about a bit guys.

California isn't a country, but clearly the US is the Best at everything. The South of France is nice but doesn't compare to Yellowstone. Switzerland is very nice as is Austria and Germany but none of them compare to the "snowy areas" of Utah, Idaho, or California/Nevada. England is nice, Ireland is okay, Wales is kind of lame, and Scotland is the nicest of them all. Belgium is flat and small. Netherlands are too decadent and those canals are really disgusting. Italy is probably second only to southern Froggyland. Mexico is just not going to get anywhere near the top. Costa Rica is pretty amazing, but you can pretty much see that in Puerto Rico or Hawaii, only you don't have to worry about being kidnapped by the Marasalvatrucha (MS13). South America is too dangerous (too many killer people), as is Australia (too many killer creatures). I haven't been to anywhere in SE Asia, Japan, China etc, anywhere where there are Asian people I haven't been, so I can't really compare and will be willing to stipulate that they might be nice. But since so many of their residents come here to live I must assume that it is not that great. I didn't include Canada because that is pretty much US's 51 state, but even so it is too cold. Although those sneaky bastards did sell the best part of the Niagra Falls eh hoser!

**those sneaky Canucks did STEAL*** the best part of Niagra is what I meant to say. Also I haven't been to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, or Africa but I mean, come on.

I've been "about a bit" and as far as beautiful mountains and forests and beaches and skies go we've got them all here.. well they're all over the world, I guess.. It's when you get into cities that you see The Ugly. USA USA USA Alot of people in here are really upset about U.S.A. being considered beautiful. MBH, Ireland isn't innocent... that's only the stereotype. The Irish are a lot shrewder than you might think. Personally, I'd vote for North Norway or somewhere else largely unspoilt by humans.

I've only seen it in pictures but I vote for New Zealand. I only know it from pictures, but I think I seriously need to go to Alaska one summer. (Which is a US state of course, but it's kind of its own country since it's not connected to the main 48.) I've been to Hawai'i, and it WAS an independent country, so it's on the short list. It's most definitely not Texas. Though I do like the Hill Country west of Austin, and the Piney Woods of East Texas. DEFINATELY New Zeeland. I havnt seen enough of the world to judge. I reiterate- anyone who says the Usa doesnt know what theyre talking about. My vote also goes for New Zealand, .

There are many beautiful places. But I'm partial to the US. The US unlike most countries has quite a diverse geography and climate. Every Country in the world has its own characteristic Beauty. My goodness! Some doofus put Scandinavia as a COUNTRY! how stupid can you get???

bit unfair really just saying the USA. I think if u put USA as your choice you should say what state as well. It evens the odds for some of the smaller countries then.

What other country on this planet can say that they have artic and tundra regions, deserts tropics, forests, Red wood forests, endless plains, Mountains, and wetlands/swamps? USA has all of this. I would say second most beautiful country is Russia only because they lack tropics. kingalfred you think we are deprived, I think you are dead wrong. You are deprived living in a tiny island with a slim variety of natural beauty. Have you seen the Grand Canyon, YellowStone, Redwood forests? I doubt it. What about Alaska possibly the most beautiful place on earth. All of the countries you have named the USA has the same type of lanscape somewhere. Actually i bet China can be just as beautiful as Russia. So what if Ireland is nice and green. Thats basically all your gonna get while your there. Your comments just go to show how naive people are to anything that is American. Your mentality is if it's American it can't be good becasue you don't really know shit about us. This discussion doesn't even include animals. USA has lots of types of Bears from Polar bears, Grizzlies, Brown and Black. Mountain Lions, Bobcats, fox, possums, racoons tons of deer, elk, huge herds of wild bison that number in the thousands...don't tell me they don't exist I have seen them, Moose, and countless others. This can all be considered beauty. Beauty could very well count on the diversity of people as well. You can say that your country is beautiful thats fine with me just don't write off mine. O I do like Austraila though. There are some nasty dangerous creatures like snakes there but at least they don't have animals that will hunt you down like bears or wild cats. Austraila has some unique scenery. I am patriotic, and think the States is totally amazing and gorgeous. The grand canyon, yosemite, yellowstone, sequoia, they're unbelieveable. I think california is the most beautiful state, which is hard to pick because we have so many. But I have now travelled a lot and have lived elsewhere, and while I used to think we just win hands down I'm not so sure anymore. Europe has some gorgeous places, like Italy and the Amalfi coast (wow! second most beautiful coastline I've ever seen) and Norway with it's fjords. New Zealand is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly beautiful. It also has a fjord area called Milford Sound, which is like nothing we have here. Genuinely. Africa is amazing too. I don't know why but there's something about the color of the place that we just don't have either - and that no where else I have ever been has. The Desert in Namibia is so easily the most beautiful desert I have been to - and we can definitely NOT compete with it (sand dunes 1000 feet high and bright red / yellow / white? incredible). The coast of South Africa's South West near Capetown is the most beautiful coast I have ever seen - more beautiful than 101 (or 'U.S. Route 101' if you're gonna be particular) and even more beautiful than Amalfi. I think the thing is we have pretty much everything here, but its not to say we have the best of everything. We have gorgeous ocean - but I've seen better in Africa. We have amazing mountains, but China / India / Kashmir / Nepal has us beat. The everglades are great, but nothing near Botswana's stunning Okovango. San Francisco is a beautiful city, but it does not touch Capetown in Africa. We don't have anything like New Zealand and Norway's Fjords (well, noweher near that scale) and of course our wildlife doens't begin to approach what Africa has. Speaking of 'thousands of bison', how about 2 MILLION animals migrating at the masai mara?! We have Niagara, but Argentina has Iguazu which dwarfs it (and Zambia has Victoria which is even more huge!). Napa is nice, but Italy and France are maybe a bit nicer, Chile's definitely better and South Africa's the most beautiful of all. Our deserts are nice, but seriously nothing on a world scale (try Namibia, the Sahara or even middle eastern ones). So it's difficult to say unambiguously 'we are the best' even though we clearly are one of them. I would give us the Grand Canyon. Haven't seen a more impressive one anywhere, not even in Africa where I saw two incredible ones. I would also say Sequoia is the most amazing forest I have ever been to (sorry to New Zealand and the amazing Kauri's). Yellowstone MAY be my favourite hotspring / volcanic place, but that title may go to New Zealand or Iceland. I'm undecided. Anyway it is not unambiguous. But overall I cannot say the US is the most beautiful. I vote (after a lot of debate) for the following top 12: (12) Namibia (11) Italy (10) Canada (9) Brazil (8) Argentina (7) Chile (6) Norway (5) India (4) USA (3) China (2) New Zealand (1) South Africa

"Purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain...Amber waves of grain,Thine alabaster cities gleam...whether you like it of not the USA is the Total Package...its how all Countries want to be when they grow up...some are overladen with antiques, awe inspiring histories, noted world figures, but at the end of the day, this is the land of milk and honey...(At This point in time...) I've been a few places but there's no place like this Country...

The U.s is definately the most beutifull country, almost each state has one or two mega cities unlike in eurpope where aside the country capitals the rest cities are like going back in time to the 19th century.

If you like New Zealand, usrocks, then you must like Britain since they look all most the same, New Zealand is more virgin than say England but they both have very similar terrain. Oh its Maori not kauri :) New zealand has the same climate as Britain, is situated almost in roughly the same position as Britain but in the southern hemisphere and temperatures range from 32*F (0*c) to roughly 86*F (32*c). You can't beat the rolling hills of England, especially in the summer with the gold fields of wheat and barley and the wild flowers in a variety of colours, its very pretty and there is no other place like it on earth (apart from Nwe Zealand). well thats what its like where i live anyway. Like i said, US will win purely by the size of the country, smaller countrys arn't likely to get votes because of it.

I meant KAURI - not the MAORI PEOPLE, the Kauri TREES... I was at that point speaking about most amazing forests. (and I’m Californialova, not USROCKS who never mentions New Zealand) England is nice but it's nothing like New Zealand. The landscapes are on completely different scales. England’s mountains are less than 1/3 the height of NZ's, and the UK doesn't have Fjords / hotsprings / fern forests / Kauri forests / volcanoes etc etc. I'm fond of the UK, and have actually lived there, but I like it far more as a cultural country (in that regard it is great). From a physical perspective it doesn't make my top 20.

i Oops, meant - I am British, but must say I love the States. Many of my family have lived in the States for years and have been to well over 40 of the states – and many parts of it are absolutely gorgeous. Many people over here are surprised when I tell them that but it’s true! Utah, Arizona, California, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington – those are just some of the especially beautiful states. The Rockies, Yellowstone, Mount Rainier, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, west Coast (from California through Oregon) – just great. Yes 80% of the country may be dull – but the 20% that is beautiful is breathtaking. Would I count it as the most beautiful on Earth? I don’t know… maybe. It has the advantage of being absolutely huge so it has SO much to count. Area for area, definitely not. As one country it’s certainly a high contender… As a continent I definitely find Africa the most beautiful (then I’d say North America, then South America, then Asia, then Europe then Australasia). I was so chuffed that Californialova put South Africa as his number 1, because it is really unbelievably beautiful. It’s also a good one to pick to represent Africa because it has so much variety. Deserts to mountains to ocean to winelands to forests to savannah to huge craters (biggest on earth I believe) etc. it’s amazing. Area for area I’d say it wins hands down, and in fact it MAY even get my overall vote over the States as most beautiful country on earth. I don’t know. Both are very very diverse countries, each has certain features that the other does not. I think I may have to go for South Africa because the most beautiful place I have ever been is there (the Western Cape and Peninsula). But perhaps to be more open about it I’ll give my top 3: South Africa USA Chile (GORGEOUS! Andes amazing, Torres del Paine SUPER beautiful etc!) Portugal is so f***ing beautiful. And they have some pretty incredible women too. You can't forget about the history and culture.

^People tend to be partial towards their own countries which is fine. I'm obviously partial towards my own the US. I think there are many beautiful places in the world but the ballot maker asked us to pick only one. I picked the US because unlike many countries, not all but many, we have an extremly diverse geography. Most people on here are from the US, Canada and the UK. Voted : Scandinavia Scandinavia`s the best bc we got the cleanest cities, the cleanest forests and the highest quality of life. Unlike U.S the nature is really close to us and the cities are really lively. We got the four seasons of year and the sustainable development is the best here. London is a coon-infested city. Its transport system reeks of urine, Ken Livingstone is a lying cunt, the Londoner food is delicious but expensive, and the local apartments are expensive.

I believe Australia is the most beautiful and unique country on earth because it has basically every type of enviroment, temperate rain forest(largest in the world), old growth forest with some of the tallest trees on earth, great deserts, the snow capped peaks of the snowy mountains and victorian alps, the island of tasmania with its giant eucalypt forests , pine forests and mountains which have some of the most breathtaking walks in the world like the walls of jerusalem national park, cradel mountain-lake st clair national park, the western arthurs range and the central highlands(a high sub-alpine platau riddled with thousands of lakes and tarns created by the movement of glaciers) all prone to extream weather from snow, rain and heat all in one day(STUNNING). Also Australia has those pretty sub antarctic islands of macquarie, heard(which carries an ice sheet up to 200 meters thick) and mcdonnel in which the climate extreamly harsh. Australia has some of the most beautiful beaches, alpine tundra and sub antarctic tundra, alot of people ive talked to overseas dont realise the diversity of Australias enviroment, most think its just a big desert and beaches, well no its one of the most biodiverse counties in the world, o and not to mention all the tropical wetland and jungle. on another note, i think Argentina, Zew Zealand and Chile are also extreamly beautiful. I agree with fLARE, usa is beautiful, but the people and quality of life... not real good i must say. |
