Followed closely behind by Vermont and West Virginia, which both have less than 5% of non-whites. Whitest, as in snowy? Surely that would be any of the northern states, then. 
Does it matter? Does it matter? by mobsie666 on Apr 14, 2006 5:23pm Not really. These two ballots just spawned off because of Grapost's ballot about the white population dipping below 20%. If you're talking about states with significant populations. I would say the ohio river valley states and parts of the mid atlantic states(ohio, kentucky, indiana and pennsylvania) which are all over 85 to 90% white and less than 2% hispanic with a combined population of 37 million and a fairly high birth rate except for pennsylvania.

What about the Hispanic Whites? by lowerclassbrats on Apr 14, 2006 7:08pm I thought about that, but decided that since most white people don't consider anybody with ancestry from south of the border to white, I'd write it this way. if you look at thematic maps from 1990 to 2000 the only places where the white populations is growing and the black population is declining is kentucky, ohio and indiana. Louisville, Indianapolis and Columbus, OH are getting good growth without the blacks following.

I live in Illinois and alot of the hispanics in chicago have a lot of european mixture particular polish and have a gothic appearance than the ones in Arizona where I used to live.

Maine. The far northeast US has a reputation for its whiteness. Maine? Really? This seems unfair since onl 12 people live there.

Gotta be Utah with all those damn Mormons. and Portland, Maine is the whitest City in the U.S. Answer... Vermont. Out of 1200 kids in the school, from 7-8 sending schools, we only have about 12, give or take, kids of minority Yeah but nobody could live up in that cold...no wonder. I'm white and like the sun...

Maine has a rediculously low crime rate to. Take that minorities! Voted : Maine You left out Minnesota? I think its north dakota and I was wondering if the reason these states have so many whites might be because they are racist. |
