It seems that the more "assimilated black people are, the more socially acceptable they are..thirty years ago black pride seemed to carry the day but now you rarely see afro hair styles, (dreadlocks excluded) there's blonde, platinum and red hair blacks everywhere...I see an effort to distance oneself from a rich culture to "fit in" the larger mainstream of American folkways and moreways...with intermarriages, are we witnessing the extinction of a race? (And then, There's Michael Jackson)..
