advice : ELDERLY PARENT, RETIREMENT HOME OR HOME CARE NURSE?

I knew I'd eventually reach that critical point in my mother's and my life. She's currently in the hospital, from there she will go to a rehabilatation center for therapy. But the question is, after this what to do? I can't be at home all day, I have to work.

Anybody else been through this? If so, what worked best for you, a Retirement Home or a Home Care Nurse?
