Consider these items:
U.S. government has not fully honored treaties.
Fishing/mineral rights that were granted under these treaties are ignored or there are attempts to subvert them.
There is a lack of concern for Native American sacred sites (in fact, these claims are belittled) - land developments seems to take precedence. Art that non-Native Americans have made is passed off as authentic even though this is illegal.
Archaeologists will dig up the remains of Native Americans and try to claim possession of them even though law prohibits this.
Native Americans are constantly challenged on their legal rights to do as they see fit on their reservations (ex. gambling/casinos).
