The beautiful game is not for everyone, it takes skill stamina oh an no padding or special teams. Its possibly the most popular team sport in the world.

Soccer doesn't do anything for me. I don't really get much out of watching any sports, either I enjoy playing a sport or I don't, but I rarely enjoy watching someone else play it either way. I'll never understand why some people get so obsessed over which group of uniformed men can kick, throw, or hit a ball in the right direction the best. Why would you riot and destroy property because your team either did a good job or a lousy job of running while kicking a ball? The whole thing seems silly to me. I wouldn't say I hate it though, no, I'm completely indifferent to it. Watching sports is boring. I dislike watching almost every sport. Playing them is not boring and something I enjoy.

I've never gotten into it... It seems to be popular with my nephews, but not with the older crowd (American). I don't 'hate' it, per se, but I don't get what's so exciting about it. I don't watch it.

Indifferent Interesting. I could be wrong here but the USA might be the only country in the world that doesn't like football. I don't like watching it. I like playing it though. Challenging sport, very intense (when you're the one playing). I can't watch it, I just can't pay attention. I like the sport though. The only sport I like to watch is basketball and it's also the sport I like to play the most. It's also my favorite sport.

mobsie666 - is Canada into it? No man, I really dislike it too. I find generally that games are dull and repetitive, punctuated by very brief periods of action, until someone finally does something interesting like score a goal. I'm not really a huge fan of baseball, either. Any game where the left-fielder could literally be smoking a cigarette during the game isn't for me. I consider both of those sports to be perhaps a little like checkers and pinball. -though, in all fairness, you could say that most sports are fairly repetitive. Maybe I'll try watching it again sometime. Yes socrates canada has a huge fan base. Not all canadians like football as not all english people do. The problem for football in Canada is the vast distances for teams that (at best) are amateur teams have to travel. But then they tend to support either england or france in the world cup anyway. So yeah Canada is into football socrates. Do a search and see how hard they have tried to create a viable league. Kicking a ball into a net (which rarely happens in soccer)? Come on. That might be almost as exciting as golf. I do like the beaner who yells "GOOOOOOOOAAALLLLO!!! " "EES GOOOOOAAAALLLLO!"

I try to be open-minded, but soccer is just too stupid. Every game is 0-0 or 1-0 or 1-1, and after 90 minutes of running around with no real excitement, they settle it on a penalty-kick contest. How retarded is that? It would be like every baseball game ending 0-0 and then settling it with a home run derby. Or if every basketball game ended 2-2 and then they settle it with a free-throw contest. My advice... More scoring, more scoring opportunities, and cut the stupid tiebreakers. no ur not. its sux a pussy sport. at least football they get body checked and pushed around.
