marciano. perfect pro record. but should have declined to fight joe louis. I know he didnt want to but did. Joe louis could quite possibly be one of the greatest americans and boxer. he did so much for people and his life story is a great read

This question never makes sense because guys lose against some and beat others.Ali destroyed Frazier and Foreman but would have been beaten easily I believe by a genuinly good fighter who might have lost to Foreman.Ali by the way did not rope a dope Foreman. He bashed him senseless in the first 3 rounds. It is Foreman that is pushing Ali onto the ropes. When Ali knew punch-drunk george was going to keep doing this he simply let him.Foreman began to recover contrary to the myth and then Ali went back to business again after taking a break.I believe Ali misjudged Frazier,In the first 3 rounds of their last fight he is actually playing with him.He could have knocked him out at will. Then he seemed to make an error like he thought Frazier would do what Foreman did cause he hardly did anything for the next few rounds letting joe have his way.I dont know if ali was concerned about making joe look so bad but Frazier didnt belong in the same ring.Look at those first 3 rounds of both Foreman and Frazier. It was not a contest.

Ali was not a fighter. He was a boxer. Boxer's do all the can to avoid being hit.

Lennox Lewis, he just physically dominates opponents and wears them down until they barerly have any will to live. He made Tyson look like a complete idiot.

Sorry, Ali was the greatest. You can BS around it all you want, the facts won't change.

Greatest Boxer of all Time means more than just numbers...more than wins and losses (Although it's very important.) No other boxer can claim the personality of Ali, and back it up like he did too and for that there is no comparison among his peers.

It is believed widely that if the ref didnt blunder (remarkable blunder) by stopping the fight 10 seconds before the end Frazier was gonna go.
But the strange thing to me is Ali not doing a hell of a lot until the end of the fight.Like there was something wrong with him or he was 'tanking' or just not taking Joe seriously.
If ali had it to do again I think he would have won far more convincingly

I have never seen a scarier fighter then Tyson in his twenties. He may have been short lived but he was a bad mofo.

I agree that Tyson was amazing in the beginning. Fluid, lightning, perfect timing, movement, relaxed.
He lost it when he tried to rush the opponent and get all frustrated. And lost his movement ,possibly became too overmuscled. He was always relaxed at the start

if he really would have whipped Ali then that guy, I'm not much of a Ali fan anyway.

Jack Dempsey fought bareknuckle fights lasting 99 rounds. Imagine fighting someone for 99 rounds bareknuckle.
