ARE PRESENT DAY AMERICAN CITIZENS LIKE CITIZENS OF NAZI GERMANY?

[+] serious ballot by wideheadofknowledge
ACTIVE Wed Nov 22, 06 - Sun May 10, 09

German Citizens of Nazi Germany were led to believe, by their leaders, that Jews were evil people undermining society. They were allegedly guilty of heinous crimes and of threatening the very lifestyle of the German people and nation as a whole. The segregation of Jews (and others) into ghettos and camps was accepted by the everyday German without question.

Modern day US citizens are led to believe, by their leaders, that Islam and Muslims are an evil undermining American society. They are allegedly guilty of heinous crimes and of threatening the very lifestyle of the American people and nation as a whole. The segregation of 'enemy combatants' into camps has been accepted by the everyday American without question.

What's next? The destruction of Islamic regimes around the world? (Oops, that's underway...).
How about concentration camps filled with Muslim 'enemies'?

ANy real parallels here? Or am I just writing shit?

Yes there are similarities. I will comment on them below.
No similarites at all and I will state just why below.

Well, if that's so, then what about Muslims in the ME who are taught to believe that Christians and non-Muslims are evil?

However, your analogy is inadequate. There is not a large sentiment against American Muslims. The Germans hating Jews IN Germany was the most important part of that lethal mix they had going on in Germany.

In my own experience I don't see people running around over here spouting hatred against muslims. I'm sure you can find it but it is not the overwhemling senitiment.

To be honest, I expect better ballots than this from you. You are essentially using an atomic bomb when a small hammer would do. Your examples are so full of hyperbole its well....

I'll give you some example of why it isn't the same. Lets look at another minority group in the US. I'll give some characteristics and let you guess who they are.
1. They have been subjected to hundreds, if not thousands of years of deep seated prejudice and bigotry.
2. Some people think they have a corrupting influence on the culture in the US. Their art (music, etc) is perverse and demeaning to the family and "normal" people.
3. They are dirty, filthy and spread disease.
4. They look different. Why can't they dress normally? Why do they have to flaunt their differences?
5. They are a corrupting influence on society.
6. They prey on children. You wouldn't leave your children with them.
7. Some have suggested putting them in "concentration camps".
8. Legislation has been passed with the sole intent of removing various civil rights from this group.
9. Churches, etc., have demonised this group for oh.. 2000 years and still do so.
10. Some segments of the population think it is OK to physically attack or beat up members of this group.
11. They threaten the family.
12. They are viewed as having too much power.
13. Serving their country in the military does not exempt them from discrimination.
14. People spew hatred against them. Go to a gay pride parade and see the counter-protesters. Listen to the Klan or Nazi groups. Or you can even hear hatred of this group coming out in conversations with your coworkers, friends, etc.
14. Their tentacles and corrupting influence is felt throughout the world. Look at the Netherlands, Denmark, etc.

All in all, they are viewed as being a corrupting influence on society. Who is this group? It isn't Muslims. It is homosexuals.

Muslims in the US meet few if any of the criteria above.

Being aware of the dangers of bigotry is one thing. Going off the deep end with excessive hyperbole is another.

^^^Re fiddle's laughable gay analogy;

Except gays weren't wrongly blamed and used as convenient scapecoats for domestic acts of terrorism planned and carried out by nefarious self-serving globalist war criminal profiteering elements working under the umbrella of 'PNAC' in and as the US government.

A significant portion of them choose to believe their leaders even when there is cause to be in doubt instead of making judgements for themselves based on ALL available information...

Fiddle - you make an excellent point and do so very well.

Substitute your points in my original question (in place of Islam) and surely the answer is 'yes'?

Sothesayer - I agree -

one of the scary similarities is the populations overwhelming capacity to believe what they're told without question. The strange concept, that whatever your government does, must be for the good of the country and world. No question!

Some call it patriotism to support their leader without question. I'm sure thats what Hitler called it too.

There are similarities, but it's not the same situation at all. Yes, we are being told that Muslims are to be feared. But Muslims did attack us, so to a certain extent they are right.

But the Jewish, Polish, homosexual, etc., people killed in the Holocaust hadn't gone and blown up buildings or made threats of starting wars like Muslims today have. They were 100% innocent. Muslims today are about 90% innocent. The vast majority of them are kind, loving people trying to live their religion of peace. Unfortunately they are being targetted though, because of that 10% that is in a Jihad.

Those numbers I totally pulled out of my ass too, I'm just using that as an example.
