Absence of proof isn't proof of absence, Mr. RobinGaylord. Moreover, millions of Christians on the planet don't simply believe in God, they EXPERIENCE God's existence in their lives. Therefore God is real for them. You, lacking such an experience, may argue against God's existence. In so doing, you reject the EXPERIENCE of untold millions of your fellow humans. So, who's likely to be right here? I'm guessing it isn't you.

I dont think it really matters what anyone says to try to prove or disprove the exsitance of God, both parties will try to explain away any proof offered.

So do muslims margaret. Maybe your wrong? or is it the jews? Either way, you dont know what experiences robins had. you just assume that only you and other christians can experience anything. and the cheap shot is you assume your in this with otehr millions of people. there are millions of atheists who wonder at the world. the problem with freedom of speech is people like you. who reject others values and yet claim to stand for morality and freedom. I'm guessing you didnt even understand the question. It was about how to convince someone and not about the question you seem to have got pissed off about. He wants to know what it would take and not, as you seem to assume, that he's talking down to you. He knows this too. So margaret find a shovel and keep digging. perhaps you can bury yourself :D I dont know Robin. I assume there is nothing to stop faith based religiong. Education might help. But these people dont want education they are too happy in their mass produced religion. It fucking sucks. Not a ine of them accepts any responsibility for things done in their name. fundamentalists are only on the other side. bullshit. religion vreates fundamentalists and even amiable religion allows it to exist. makes me want to puke. Faith without proof is nothing but superstition. I have faith, and I've never had proof. So, I guess I'm superstitious. I tried to live wihtout the belief in God at different times, and the pain and sense of abandonment was unendurable. So, for me God is real and necessary in my life. Nothing can convince me God is not real. God, for me, may not be what God is for someone else. That is a whole different thing.

Voted : God exists in spirit and deed How can you convince someone of something they know to be true? Margaret is absolutely right here. That's the difference between a Theist and a Gnostic. People who don't believe in God, don't understand spiritualism and never experienced his existence . Look in the right frame of reference and you might just see things in a difference light.

Voted : God exists in spirit and deed I'm still loitering, after all I've been through. I'm convinced that Deity's up there. I'm just questioning job performance.

Well, passiveson thats just another example of pluralism. because you dont believe you dont understand spirituality. thats a typical circular and ridiculous argument. I have profound experience of spirituality that would cause most people to want to believe in god, but I dont i think its all a product of the mind. You cant know god is true you can only hope it to be so. God wants you to worship him and if you dont you burn for eternity in hell.. But he loves you. hahaha funny stuff If you feel lonely and vulnerable without god then you are missing the point of life. thats what god is for. so you dont have to really "be" yourself and eccapt your own death. As mark twain once said "I was dead for millions of years before I was born, and that didnt worry me. why should I fear it now?" you can't prove if God is real or not real until you die! but then you can't tell living or they might end up in the nut house for seeing a dead person. ok? promise? oh well gl everyone! crosses fingers!
