Voted : It's not just sex and porn. IMO, there's a sense of failiarity about the entire process. I look at it much the same way as I do SF fandom. There are lots of genre fans who attend cons, dressed up as everything from Light Elves to Stormtroopers.

Do you mean those gits who dress as animals and then shag each other arses senseless? Having animated creatures perform acts forbidden to humans is going to be a growing area of disputation in society. I don't think anyone should be able to animate behavior proscribed in ordinary society. Except for Donald Duck, of course.

Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, any anthropomorphic animal character is a furry. Furries are folks who genuinely get off by dressing up in plush animal costumes and fondling each other, usually in orgy-type situations. Some hard-core furries mimic the behavior of the critter they're dressing as, sometimes refusing to communicate like people and instead making animal noises. Best stay on their good side is all I'm gonna say. ^I saw this on CSI. Interesting!
