And women should be able to do the same, provided all parties agree.

Voted : I'm a woman no Not me personally, but if someone wants to marry multiple wives for that reason, more power to them. Though I do find the "weak in the mind" excuse somewhat lame. Unless someone is mentally disabled or incompetent, it's really very simple to abstain from temptation. If they have the desire to try.

^ I think that too it's kind of an insult to men, saying we can't resist temptations.

Voted : I'm a man yes YES! YES! YES! and another YES! on top, like a big YES! cherry on an imaginary YES! cake! Voted : I'm a man no One is enough Voted : I'm a man no As the legendary John Lennon said, "Instant karma's gonna get you..." One man, one woman. Imagine what hilarity might ensue if a guy with six wives was pleasuring one and, at That Special Moment, called out the wrong name? 8-O

I think that too it's kind of an insult to men, saying we can't resist temptations. by larrynelmira I think it is insulting. I know way too many good men who've been married for over half a century and faithful to the same woman to generalize and think that men are "weak in the mind".

My friend is 18, this could be more his thoughts than the official view, I know very little about Islam, so I really can't comment a lot on that. I remember when I was a kid and attended Sunday school classes, my teacher once said girls should not wear 'revealing clothes' because that causes temptation . I think that also is one of the reasons woman in Islam are told to dress in such non revealing clothing, apparently men are weak according to SOME people.

Voted : I'm a man no Would you want more than one mother-in-law? Incidentally, weird Christian groups such as the Mormons have similar practices.

Incidentally, weird Christian groups such as the Mormons have similar practices. And if I were talking to a Mormon about this I would have said Mormon friend , but I was talking to a Muslim, I'll remember next time to mention every group under the sun that my ballot might refer to I did put my experience in Sunday school if the need to criticize christianity is necessary on any ballot about Islam.

Voted : I'm a man no one sure fire way to stop having sex is getting married to more than one woman. if someone is "weak in the mind when it comes to sex", they should just screw around like normal single people, instead of the headaches and heartbreaks of marriage.
