Thats just another Euro Trash steriotype. Soccer ( Foot Ball )is the most played game by American youth to! Although I hate it and think its for pussies, a lot of people here play it. Football has more contact and is considered a moremainly game, plus it teaches what a team is to youths better than soccer. And football is played more than soccer by kids. Pop Warner is the biggest youth organization in the us today. Preperation H, the Americans didn't invent any sport they play except for basketaball. By the way, American kids *love* soccer. In the next generation, it will replace baseball as the national sport.

Basketball was invinted by a Canadian. He was an assistant coach at Kentucky. I think he was under Adolf Rupp? Our short attention spans will not let us appreciate watching a ball get kicked around for 90 minutes in a contest ending in a nil-nil tie. everyone loves football except for the yanks because they are shit at it yea they are totally gay when it comes to soccer.stick to line dancing you FUCKING BENDERS!!

duk, American children love soccer because they are all of a similar skill level and it's easy. A 6 year old can't maybe a basketball shot from more than a couple feet away, hit a pitched baseball, skate well, or throw/catch a spiralling football. mr_hat, if Americans CARED about soccer at all, we'd kick some ass. European and South American countries have it as their damn national sport and all the best athletes are recuited into soccer. NONE of the top American athletes go into soccer, yet we still have a decent team. And if you forgot, the US Women's team has kicked some ass as of late.

(Which is pronounced similarly, but is not spelled the same.) As for American football, they call it fútbol americano (American football.) That's the proper way to refer to the sports in Spanish, but in English (or at least American English), fútbol is soccer and fútbol americano is football. Know it and accept it. Though it would make more sense for soccer to be called football, since it is the sport where the players use their feet. Of course, the Spanish word for foot is pie and the Spanish word for ball is bola... Argh... censoring my symbols... in place of all those weird symbols, there should be the letter u with an accent over it: `.
