Most people would probably say Hawaaii if you included all the states. I'm talking about those hard to find beutiful places with no theme parks and huge crowds.

Any small place on the Pacific , between San diego and L.a.
The coast of Maine (few people)
Sanibel Island/ Captiva Island Florida.
Most of the Florida Keys. (Key West is to crowded.)
Alabama gulf coast.
Chesapeake Bay.
The Pacific coast of Oregon.
Any place the crowds don't know about.
Your own backyard.
Anywhere someone else will pick up the check.
Viva Las Vegas baby, yeah!
Santa Monica Beach, CA
your moms house, smells like fish tho
Daytona Beach Florida!
Lake Cumberland in Kentucky
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Denali National Park

What are you looking for specifically? If you don't know just rent a car with unlimited mileage and drive across the country. We drove from DC to Washington state and took the Northern route and it was beautiful, North Dakota was especially beautiful in an eerie sort of way, and then when we moved here from Washington state we took the Southern route and still found a lot of space and beauty. It really depends on what you would like most to enjoy? If you want to see the ocean go in the cold months, actually to avoid crowds of tourists take your vacation in the fall and winter months. I think the average off-season from coast to coast goes from August to May.

Confucius, "continental U.S.A." means all the US states on the North American continent. This means Hawaii is excluded. "Contiguous States" would mean only those that are connected. This would leave Alaska out. Get some knowledge before you call someone else stupid. It makes you look REALLY stupid when you correct someone and you are the one that's wrong. Oops, now I see you say the US is a planet so I must wonder if you're really, REALLY stupid or have a pathetically weak sense of humor.
