If your IQ would be 294, Buttplug, you would be posting stuff other than "buttplug" or "Fuck You" everytime you post something. bill clinton's iq is up there with leonardo davinci, around 168...SO TAKE THAT AND FUCK YOU, CONSERVATIVE DITTOHEAD ASSWIPES!!! People came up with ideas why it shouldn't work, for example: 1) The theory wouldn't work on god 2) Einstein was tone-deaf 3) Einstein was a Jew, so automatically, he was wrong You see what I mean? And if somebody did come up with a serious question that threatened its reliability, that question was disproven by Hawking, leaving E=MC2 intact. Violinmeister is trying to find a case that not even Hawking can counter-respond to.

OK let's run a little info here: average IQ is 100. 115 and up is above average. 130 and up is gifted. 145 and up is genius. 98% of the population has an IQ under 130. So unless you're smarter than 49 out of 50 people, you don't have an IQ over 130. So please stop guesstimating your IQ's. If you want to take a pretty accurate IQ test go to ivillage dot com's IQ test.

My IQ 163 and I still can't set the bloody VCR :| Well someone eventualy has to disprove Einstein since Quantum Mechanics is ultimately doomed. Not everyone has an IQ of 100. People with an IQ of 150 sound nothing like people with an IQ of 100; their thoughts and words will be different and more complex, and it's only natural. No one's looking for validation or trying to sound "better" than anyone else. They're just being themselves. No more hits below the belt, please. No more hatred against the intellectuals. No more discrimination which makes no sense.

For your information, togglebox, I have stated my IQ ONCE on this board, on the ballot asking "What's your IQ?". If it was mentioned again, it was not me saying it. I didn't even say it on this ballot; someone else did. If there's one thing I pride myself on, it's that I'm not conceited. Using talents or IQ numbers to gain popularity is just a plain violation of that rule. Go bother my girlfriend if she says my IQ too often (You better not... ;-) ) Regards. By the way, before anyone decides to make a witty little comment about how smart I think I am, let it be known that many of the IQ's on this site put mine to shame. I am definitely nothing special compared to some of the minds here.

No matter how high your IQ is (Hitler, Stalin,...) the finality of the matter is up to you. Hey, gotta be honest. ;-) I just don't get it, why else would one bother to state it or have it stated I understand the question, just not the reason to answer it WOuldn't it be a lot more useful to talk about the things that hinder you in life due to having a high IQ? There's Mensa ofcourse, but I'm just not that keen on the entire club thing OK let's see if I can explain, since I do qualify for Mensa. The things that hinder people of increased capacity are mostly: Increased perceptiveness, which by definition makes you notice more of the evil and the fucked up things in the world, makes you see the little glitches and hidden intentions in people, and may or may not embitter you completely towards life. Lack of intellectual stimulation which can make you develop apathy and deviant behavior. Arrogant personality in others' eyes, because you know you are more likely to be right than they are, and you show it. Other people are not willing to accept that you will usually be "righter" than them, so this loses you friends unless you develop an undercover stance on your knowledge. This is unfair, because you end up having to cover up a lot more of the things you know than other people would have to. You have to either accept hatred or go through life pretending you're something you're not. Mensa, I understand, is a great place to get away from the hoopla and meet with like-minded individuals, because being a genius in a society of average folk does not benefit one in any way. Here's this huge, untapped mind, and no one to feed it... then you go into a room full of people who have the insights you seek and suddenly your mind is being fed again, like it has not been since you were a child. No one to tell you, "Stop being a smart-ass," or "Stop acting like you're better than everyone else." None of the bullshit and frustration we go through every day of our lives. I love this website because it is packed with Mensa material, if you can recognize them, and it gives me the sense of fulfillment I haven't had since I was in my high school's giftyed program. No snooty little responses please. I have been very open and sincere in this post and it is not meant to attract animosity. I have revealed my private pains about this issue, which is something I haven't done in years, and I'd appreciate if you didn't come down on me for it.

The IQ test I'm familiar with has a top score of 150, and 140+ is considered "genius". I scored a 142 or something, but I'm still a loser. Mine have ranged from 136 to 157. I took a test online once, but it only went up to 140. I was always in the "Gifted And Talented Education" (GATE) programs growing up so that might explain the score, although instead of learning how to solve math problems, I'd rather have learned economics and law manipulation therefore I would have a little more income than what the engineering field pays. I love the comments of "my iq is over 200 coz im da most intellogentest one outta all u gay fagits". I'm going to try the "ivillage" online test and let you know what happens. Thanks, Ms_Knowitall. You're a true genius in my book. I couldn't find any IQ quizzes on ivillage. I did score 90% in their "Elvis Quotient" test. What I enjoy most? Hmm... a very base human pleasure. The joy of initial infatuation with another human being. Also I enjoy feeling strong emotions, so that I can let them gush out in my poetry or my drawings. Yes, I'd never thought of it, but those are the things I enjoy most in the world. They're like a drug high. Why do you ask?

For comparison I highly enjoy listening to Sibelius' Finlandia, Wagner's Parsifal/Fliegende Hollander and above all Brahms' third violin concerto, and Rachmaninov Those last two sent me in a state of Hyper, excellent for when I have to work something out And there is reading and writing too Excuse me for being skeptical, but I seriously doubt that violinmeister's iq is 183, considering only one in 65 million have an iq that high. And 168, Emerson? One in 350 thousand. The validity of most online tests are highly questionable, including ivillages. It scored me 156, when in reality my iq is closer to 146. Violinmeister, I'm sure you understand that it's not easy to believe you are one of the five most intelligent in the US.

I doubt I'm one of the most intelligent in the U.S. There are always tons of people we don't know about that are just not out in the open yet. And about its validity, sure, I don't expect you to believe me. The number's not all that common, to say the least, but I know it's true. I understand you doubt me, but that's your decision. Probably because the site was made by women. Okay I found the IQ test on the U.K. ivillage site. I doubt if it's accurate since they gave me a 185. I think that they're just patronizing me just so they can sell me a detailed report for 10 quid. Cool! I'm going to test myself on that site...LMAO! My IQ is 185. LOL actually it's 142.

www.highiqsociety.org take the ultimate test, I scored 156 on that one, pretty close to official tests. Not me. While a member of Mensa for 20+ years and a tad over 150 on most tests, it looks like others are higher. Heh heh ... on ething I have learned about IQ, boys: A high IQ and about $4 will get you a vanilla latte at Starbucks. Of course, it'll be around $4 for someone with an IQ of 80, as well ... :/ Oh, make sure you specify the IQ test ... Wechler is standard and most widely used, but otgher tests exist and are accepted. Cattel, for example, has a much higher average. I'm 151 on Wechler but 174 on Cattel. 20 point diff or so. Make sure to compare apples and apples. An aside: Anyone who brags but fails to identify themselves (e.g., Mine is ...) is probably inflating JUST a hair or two. ;-) Ms_Knowitall: Well said. Don't take back a word! Nice to hear some reasoned discourse. I should've said that 156 was on the Wechsler. Cathexis is about the only one on this ballot who I would actually *believe* to have the IQ he stated. No offence to the others, of course ;-) I'm not sure what test my school used when I took it in the 4th grade. Throughout my childhood, my parents never told me the result of the test, supposedly in order to prevent me from becoming arrogant. Earlier this year I was editing a piece of correspondence my mother had written concerning an application I was working on, and in it she stated the number. I asked her later if that was correct and she confirmed it, and she's not the sort of person who would lie about that sort of thing. I'm not about to go take another test, just because, well, as someone whose chosen field of study involves a lot of psychology, I've learned how arbitrary those tests can really get. Plus, to steal a phrase from a friend of mine, *I* already *know* I own a 12 inch academic cock, there's no reason to take it out and wave it around. Intelligence is like a party trick. It has absolutely no bearing on how good of a person you are. That seems a bit high for Cathexis, maybe it's in his own age range. No offense intended. Heh heh ... impudent young whippersnapper ... !
