I hear this on the site time and time again. Do you think that this is true and how do you base your argument.

No, we/they don't know more than us.
Yes, we/they do know more than us.

They know it's all a bunch of bullshit just like the rest of us do.

MJ-
Exactly!

They know it's bs, but Americans know the intricacies of that bs better.

There is 2 sides to American politics. The truth and what the gov't wants you to know. Sometimes what the gov't wants you to know is the truth but rarely.

I thinkit may possibly stem from the fact that Europe is 'old' and are more jaded by politicians.

The people of the US actually respect the office of the President of the USA, and will more or less give it the benefit of the doubt.

In Europe and in UK, where I live, we are far more skeptical as a nation and probably more politically aware.

I guess the real question is, would we rather have faith in our leaders or be constantly disillusioned by them.

The majority of the people of the USA seem to be in the main, trusting of the office of the president and perhaps thats a good thing, perhaps not.

I feel a ballot coming on, lol.

Absolutely not. I think it's outright hilarious to think Europeans think they know more than us. They don't live here. They don't know what is going on other than what the media tells them. You don't see Americans getting involved in European politics so they shouldn't be involved in ours. However, it's not like we care what Europeans think about us. I still over all like Europeans except when they get involved in our politics or insult me because I am American. Other than that Europeans are alright with me.
