If I am speaking to him directly, proving his existence, yes. If I'm doing it due to something that is said in the bible..nope.

What if you where seeing him but when you give him the money, he starts laughing hysterically and runs away with it?.
by InternalColonel on Sun Jul 11, 04 10:17pm [+]

Well, $500 million is a LOT of money, I'd have trouble giving it up...
by GS_NewWorldRuler on Sun Jul 11, 04 10:32pm [+]

How fast can he run in those sandles?
by Tadema on Sun Jul 11, 04 11:49pm [+]

LOOOOL...funny Internal and Tadema...Lets just play along with this one, shall we :) this absolutely happens, would you give up all this money to receive everlasing life?
by Barbara_Baby_Cakes on Mon Jul 12, 04 12:07am [+]

Tricky question. It could end up being a long, very poor everlasting life, without death to look forward to. I think I'd barter with him, offer him half. If he refuses I'd keep the money.
by InternalColonel on Mon Jul 12, 04 12:13am [+]

Nah, if it were, without a doubt real, of course I would give up the money. Roll around in it first and then give it to him.
by Tadema on Mon Jul 12, 04 12:23am [+]

I'd keep all the money and tell him to peddle his insanity to someone who doesn't understand how much damage he's done to humanity in the last 2000 years.

Everlasting life huh?
Well leave the brochure and I'll get back to you.
by SCREAMING_FROG on Mon Jul 12, 04 1:40am [+]

I wonder where I would be following Jesus to get an everlasting life. Also, what would happen if you were burned alive or exploded into many pieces, how would you actually still live?

$500 million dollars in the hand can be real, but Jesus is only a fantasy, a figment of some ancient mad mushroom druggers wild hallucinatory imaginings

I'd like to say how bad Everlasting Life would suck, but I can't even find the words :D
by Jyl on Sat Jan 15, 05 11:21am [+]

My rewards are not of this life, so if he ask me to give it all up then that's what i'd do. My rewards await me in "GODS KINGDOM" Greed is one of the most deadly sins!!!
by runyonbybirth on Tue Feb 15, 05 3:01pm [+]

Of course i would everlasting life is worthmore than 500 million.
by donjuan on Tue Feb 22, 05 12:30pm [+]

I would need more details. If Jesus meant that I would have to follow and worship him, and that I would have to die to gain everlasting life after death, as Christianity implies, I probably would not accept his offer. I would rather spend my money on pursuing real immortality.
by zorra on Mon May 16, 05 12:55am [+]

I'm not reading all the comments, but yes, if I knew it was really Jesus, I would give him anything he ask for.

Well, you put your foot in it this time. You had to go and ASK. You could have had everlasting life by the usual Christian route--saying the sinner's prayer, tithing, being generous, not hating, etc. all while living a life of luxury with most of your money. Jesus was giving you an eternal kick in the butt for trying to BUY everlasting life. But, then again, if I saw Jesus for real, I would probably stop caring about money, GIVE IT TO MY SO AND MY SISTER, and become a devoted sister of mercy, or some such thing, knowing it is all true.
