Kieth wrote all the songs. Brian Jones was a great inovator experimenting with various instruments and creative sounds but never contributed by creating chord progressions that produced songs. Mick Taylor was a young gun from John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers with great instrumental ability but did not contribute to the song writing. Ron Wood was hired more for his image than his guitar ability. I guess that leaves Kieth as the inovator who gave the Stones their sucessful sound though his techincal abilities, beyond creating great progressions, have never been on the same scale with the other British blues men
