The herd instinct can be quite overpowering, but do you stick to your convictions and stay the course during a debate, or do you bite your tongue and pipe down so as not to look too 'different'?

I change my beliefs when that route seems to take me closer to truth.

As for debates ... depends upon the nature of those involved. While I may not change beliefs, I also won't continue smacking my head against a wall -- especially if others involved aren't worth my time.
