The odds of winning the lottery are 14 million to 1. So it's a bit of a long shot.
I choose six numbers, and then don't buy a ticket, Every time my numbers don't come up I've saved myself a pound.
In the six months I've been doing this I've lost out on six ten pound wins and a rollover jackpot. So far I'm £12,986,010 down, but in the year 43621 AD I'll be a pound up, so who'll be laughing then? (unless my numbers come up again)

Nice idea but you should actually buy the ticket once in a while. Or a better idea is to not play or pick numbers at all so you don't beat yourself up over not picking the winning numbers
