DID THE VIRGIN MARY ACCIDENTLY START CHRISTIANITY IN A SCAM TO CONVINCE HER PARENTS SHE DID NOT HAVE PREMARITAL SEX?

[+] ballot by Jigsaw
created Sat Aug 28, 04

Back then people were stoned to death for having premarital sex. People would say anything if it meant they could be spared death. Could it have been the untimate scam that blew into unforseen proportions that still linger over 2000 years later?

She had premarital sex
She had the son of God
you cant marry a donkey - the diry little whore
You are a sick person; hope you rot in hell
Hmmm. getting "stoned" for sex... sounds good

USMC, well christians arent very respectful of athiests now are they? The ones I know are always attemting to ridicule evolution theory, and its impossible to win an arguement with them because whenever you come up with evidence againt evolution, they always say "God works in mysterious ways"

Call me a cynic, but she'd have needed a very open-minded or gullible jury to believe that one.
by Heretic on Sat Aug 28, 04 10:05am [+]

why are you so disrespectful?

It says it in the taldum that "Virgin" Mary was a whore and she slept around. I don't know how accurate that is but it's a theory.
by Kama_Sutra on Sat Aug 28, 04 2:54pm [+]

no preparation , some aren't , does two wrongs make a right.
by USMC on Sat Aug 28, 04 5:09pm [+]

I don't know why people make ballots about religion, no one is going to change their views . most of the time it just ends up in an argument, nothing good ever comes out of debating religion, all religions, not just christian.
by USMC on Sat Aug 28, 04 5:27pm [+]

also think it might be different with saying what you said about virgin mary and disgreeing or refusing to hear evolution theary. with evolution their is not a person you can degrade, like you do with muhammad, or jesus, or virgin mary, or whatever. not knocking evolution just saying I don't think it hurts you when people say evolution is false as it would with you calling the virgin mary a slut
by larrynelmira on Sat Aug 28, 04 5:41pm [+]

wow, what a thought provoking ballot, cheers jigsaw
by CouchGnome on Sat Aug 28, 04 7:29pm [+]

thought provoking? People will do ANYTHING, even if it means sacrificing their own life, to stop Christianity. This ballot is utterly ridiculous. Yeah, sure, her son just HAPPENED to be sinless and powerful, yup, a few people's words suddenly were just a lucky stab in the dark to fool millions of people, right right, ill believe that when hell freezes over.

"Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God." Acts 5:35-39.

The guy who said that WASN'T a christian.

Bye.
by celui_qui_se_produis on Sat Aug 28, 04 7:38pm [+]

celui_qui_se_produis: People didn't even know how to read back then, let alone understand the workings of our world. If you can convince a kindergarten class that Santa Claus is coming to town then you can easily convince an uneducated illiterate public about a religion.
by Jigsaw on Sat Aug 28, 04 8:25pm [+]

"I don't know why people make ballots about religion, no one is going to change their views . "

I did.
by Jigsaw on Sat Aug 28, 04 8:27pm [+]

i dont see any views changed here, everyone that signed out has the same views they had when they signed in
by USMC on Sat Aug 28, 04 8:40pm [+]

jesus did miracles in front of people , why would they have to read to understand that, he walked on water, raised the dead, if i saw santa clause land on my front lawn with reindeers and sleagh, i would believe in him , that comparison you made sucks
by USMC on Sat Aug 28, 04 8:42pm [+]

There is no historical evidence that any 'people' saw anything at all. Or that anything happened there. They've been dead for 2000 years which dates back to borderline prehistoric times. The English language hadn't even been developed yet...it was still emerging from the angles and the saxons who had recently moved into the islands of the UK. And a miracle back then could be something as simple as lighting gunpowder. Changing a channel on a television with a remote control would have been enough to bring everyone to their knees.
by Jigsaw on Sat Aug 28, 04 9:56pm [+]

no one changed tv station back then, thats a stupid comparison. do you think the english language was first to be spoken on earth, the romans, egyptians, hebrews and many others all did fine without the english language. If I saw someone walk on water or raise the dead today I would consider it a miracle, you don't have to believe. I could care less, But just like you getting upset when christians or jews or muslims deny or refuse to listen to your theary of evolution, they get upset with you making stupid comments about religious figures purely for the reason to offend, no other reason you could have to had made this ballot. But again it's your right to write as you please. But personaly I find it offencive.
by USMC on Sun Aug 29, 04 12:11pm [+]

"no one changed tv station back then, thats a stupid comparison. "

That was meant to show how easy a 'miracle' can be to create.

"do you think the english language was first to be spoken on earth, the romans, egyptians, hebrews and many others all did fine without the english language. "

I never said that. I was pointing out to you how 'long' ago all of this Christianity stuff apparently happened. How inaccurate and untrue it can possibly be.

"If I saw someone walk on water or raise the dead today I would consider it a miracle, you don't have to believe. "

So would I if it happened. Yet there is no proof whatsoever other than an old book that only 'claims' this happened.

I could care less, But just like you getting upset when christians or jews or muslims deny or refuse to listen to your theary of evolution, they get upset with you making stupid comments about religious figures purely for the reason to offend, no other reason you could have to had made this ballot. "

Just like I get upset when people preach utter bullshit to me. I can do the same right back and it's my right to. I'm trying to peel the blindness away from people.

"But again it's your right to write as you please. But personaly I find it offencive. "

Damn straight. And I find preaching offensive as well.
by Jigsaw on Mon Aug 30, 04 12:03am [+]

you opened the door to that jigsaw when you made this ballot
by USMC on Mon Aug 30, 04 7:40am [+]

another thing,, when christians or jews or muslims preach as you say, they do it because they honestly think if you do not believe in God you will go to hell, I'm not debating if God exist or not, I'm making a point that they do for, not wanting you to burn in hell. Please dont spin this, when you crit. those faiths and say evolution is your belief , you are not doing it because you care about person you are speaking to, you do it because that's what you believe, which is fine, I find many things about the theary of evolution possible, I'm just trying to put things in perspective, I have no problem at all with anyone believing anything they want, but you did make the ballot so don't crit. me for responding
by USMC on Mon Aug 30, 04 7:50am [+]

I should have said not go to heaven, because i'm not sure what some faiths believe about hell
by USMC on Mon Aug 30, 04 7:50am [+]

Evolution is more a fact than a belief.
by Jigsaw on Mon Aug 30, 04 8:11pm [+]

There is plenty of scientific proof that evolution has taken place. All of the fossils obviously have not been preserved, but the ones that have pretty well conclude that humans and other animals evolved over time.
by Jigsaw on Mon Aug 30, 04 8:54pm [+]

Oh my head hurt form trying to understand what everyone is talking about... I wish someone could just explain what you guys are arguing about in simple language for me... Just reading more and more of what you are saying is just making me feel dumb and dumber.
by Susie on Sat Sep 04, 04 8:34am [+]

I'd just like to say a few things:

1. I am a Protestant Christian

2. I believe in evolution and that it happened and is still happening.

3. How did get from the Virgin mary to the evolution theory?

4. I agree with everything USMC says.

5. I don't have a clue what celui_qui_se_produis was saying.

6. I believe Mary had the son of God but that is because i have faith that happen, religion is not about proof it is about faith.

7. I believe bad people who do bad things, like break the law (and the ten commandments because I'm Christian), will burn in hell, not for for what religion they are or what beliefs they have.
by Susie on Sat Sep 04, 04 8:53am [+]

3. How did we get from the Virgin mary to the evolution theory? *

Oh I see it was preparation H..

The person who wrote that was Islam hater. He got exiled so he cant write anything in his account anymore.

It is physically impossible for someone had a fartherless baby - why are people still arguing about something that could EVER happen?

I am a male, aged 24, i have just given birth to a fully grown elephant that has a human nose. The elephant is a gift from god: You have to believe me, because I have 15 people who was with me.

If you need confirmation on this; why didn't the 'virgin' mary?
by louisfifer on Thu Dec 02, 04 9:48am [+]

i tell you this once, and only once, son: Stay off the crack!
by Kentucky_Yankee on Tue Feb 08, 05 11:13pm [+]

I'd like to point at that Christianity was around before that event, it just became more popular than. But that a whores a liar.
by davidabc66 on Sun May 22, 05 11:01pm [+]

Whoever thinks Mary was really a virgin, and that she was impregnated by God Himself, needs to take some smart pills. Hey, did you know the word 'gullible' isn't in the dictionary? LOL
by Queen_Jannine on Wed Jun 22, 05 2:42am [+]

Face it, Jesus was a butt baby that is why sodomy is forbidden god doesn't want a bunch of butt babies running around talking shit
