Hello, You can call me Andrew_Anorak.My Motto is "I'm not dead, just resting." blog entry Large Hadron Colliderentry #4. posted on 10:51am Sep 05, 2008 - mood: concernedThe LHC is turned on Wednesday Morning 9;30 Central European Time (It'll be 3:30 am EST). I've read reports claiming it's safe and any micro black holes will disperse due to Hawking Radiation and occurs naturally in cosmic rays already. However, I'm still a bit worried and would be happier if these experiments weren't being carried out at all. I was nervious in 1999 with Y2K and millennium prophecies. no comments. : add comment blog entry Olympics closingentry #3. posted on 8:07am Aug 24, 2008 - mood: happyThis was a wonderful Olympics, the Chinese did us all proud and we Brits had our most sucessful medal tally in ages. The Handover ceromony with Jimmy Page and David Beckham was brilliant too. Despite what I read in the papers it was representitive of Britain. Can't wait for 2012 no comments. : add comment blog entry Britmagickentry #2. posted on 6:07am Jul 31, 2008 - mood: happyBritmagick, a term I've invented, is a story involving magic and fantasy elements, but set in the real UK. The most famous example is Harry Potter, and also urban fantasies like Neverwhere. I've also selected today as Britmagick as it's the birthday of both Harry Potter and J.K Rowling, as well as being the pagan festival of Lamas. no comments. : add comment blog entry Cardiffentry #1. posted on 11:10am May 16, 2008 - mood: hyperTomorrow is the first appearence of Cardiff City in the FA Cup since they won in 1927. It's been a golden age for Cardiff recently. We've got a Millennium Stadium, the Millennium Centre, the Welsh Assembly and in 2005 we had a double celebration; 100 years as a city and 50 years as Capital of Wales. 2005 was of course the year that Doctor Who returned to TV, and it was made in Cardiff, which was also the setting of the Adult spin-off Torchwood. We're alo the birthplace of Dalek/Blake's 7 creator Terry Nation, Roald Dahl and Superted so we have a claim to be "Sci-Fi capital of Britain" no comments. : add comment more entries from Andrew_Anorak |
