There are several factors that need to be taken into account:
1) Are members of Hezbollah firing rockets at Israel from NYC? Have they kidnapped Israelis and taken them to NYC?
2) If 1) were true, would the US government (unlike the Lebanese government) cooperate with Israel and crack down on such factions on its soil?

So it's only okay for Israel to be attacking members of Hezbollah who are firing missles at Israel? Those Hezbollah members who are not DIRECTLY involved with the firing of the missles are to be left alone?
And if the U.S. wasn't doing enough to satisfy the Israeli government in cracking down on Hezbollah, then would it be okay to start bombing Manhattan?

There is a huge difference between harboring and supporting terrorism to not succeeding to completely stop it. In the second situation, the US might allow Israel to do the job for it, but not so many nations worldwide have reached such impotence level that they can't control armed groups in their territories.

No because the U.S government would handle Hezbollah in America and Israel has no right to violate the sovereing of America.The only reasons why Israel is bombing Hezbollah in Lebanon is because 1)Hezbollah is launching rockets out of Lebanon and 2)the Lebanese government is not doing anything to stop them.
