Voted : No, even Republicans should tell the truth
What the hell?
cranky do two wrongs make a right? If not why do keep making that argument when confronted with the soft bigotry and one-sided reporting by the left?I will admit it was wrong that Bush photoshopped that photo to make it look like he was surrounded by troops but will you admit it was wrong for Reuters to make Israel look like they were destroying all of Lebanon?
Cracky will never admit.
Voted : No, even Republicans should tell the truth
I can't understand why they need to do that, what with Exxon, Diebold, the al-Saud family, etc.
Corrupt: I have no problem admitting that what the rogue freelance photographer did was wrong (adding smoke to a photograph of the results of an Israeli bombing) The situations aren't entirely the same, however. Reuters, the organization, did not intentionally release a doctored photo, despite the baloney being sliced by rightwing propaganda squads, and is addressing the issue. The Republican Party DID release the photos featured on both my ballots, and to my knowledge, the Republican Party never repudiated what had been done, or addressed the wrongdoing. To me, that makes it much, much worse. And much of the Lebanon photo brouhaha is simply rightwing slander intended to slander and silence the left and the free media, and to distract attention from the truth about what Israel is doing, which, once again, prove the utter valuelessness of the American rightwing.
^dazzle: I like a woman with spunk!
See.... cracky tries to compare apples and oranges. A political ad versus a real news story. They aren't the same cracky. Also, Reuters banned the use of the word "terrorist" in conjunction with the 9/11 attacks. This was true at least as of 2004. Of course, you can't say 9/11 terrorist attacks, can you? That might be biased. Reuters is proving itself to be a joke of the news agencies. "distract attention from the truth about what Israel is doing," Its rather sad how the leftist blogs try to compare apples and oranges because they just can't stand the fact that the news coming out of the Israel - Hezbollah conflict might just be biased in favor of Hezbollah. You would think they would be shocked instead of resorting to desperate attempts at MORAL EQUIVALANCY. MORALLY EQUIVALENT they are NOT. Get a clue cracky.

"they just can't stand the fact that the news coming out of the Israel - Hezbollah conflict might just be biased in favor of Hezbollah." And I'm sure you being Jewish in no way biases you in favor of Israel.
And comparing conservative Muslim extremists with conservative Republican extremists is apples and oranges? Sounds like we are comparing two types of dog shit, to me.

cranky- "I have no problem admitting that what the rogue freelance photographer did was wrong (adding smoke to a photograph of the results of an Israeli bombing) The situations aren't entirely the same, however. To me, that makes it much, much worse." - ummm... to everyone else, I think cranky has made a good point. But I disagree with: "And much of the Lebanon photo brouhaha is simply rightwing slander intended to slander and silence the left and the free media, and to distract attention from the truth about what Israel is doing, which, once again, prove the utter valuelessness of the American rightwing." Anyway, lolol did ad really say 'whatever it takes' lol? Must have been a Freudian slip on their part. :) FiddleFaddle- "A political ad versus a real news story. They aren't the same cracky." - I personally think both are wrong. The ad might even be worse if it was shown repetetively. It is manipulation leading up to an election. Unacceptable from my point of view.
Both were wrong, but I am inclined to perceive the Reuter's incident as a freelance photographer trying to embellish his product to make it more saleable -- not as any ideologic attempt to influence the war.
The smoke was real. The attack was real. The embellishment was not. I am amazed how War supporters latch onto the embellishment as the atrocity, and not all of the death and destruction.
Socrates: Yes, the ad did say that, much to the amusement of the bloggers who have written about.
Voted : No
Deception seems to be a constant factor with this administration.
