Are the vast majority of ills attributed to Islam the by product of a lack of education?

When someone is willing to kill themselves for their beliefs in such a way that it kills other innocent people and even at times other innocent Muslims, is it a lack of education for the suicide bomber that leads them to do such a dastardly deed?

Or are there other contributing factors that are stronger in making such a choice to end one's life in such a murderous way?

Also, I'd like to point out, I believe whole heartedly that there are other options other than killing one's self but that those who are not educated in the ways of bettering one's people or religion are the most likely to do something so completely crazy. Therefore adding a choice on this ballot such as "No they see it as their only way out" is actually supporting the lack of education choice and is a moot point.

I think it's partly the lack of education, but it can also be the type of education extremists do receive. There are Wahabist and other extremist sect schools where the students receive up to five hours per day of religious instruction. Five hours of extremist bullshit, every day! They have almost no time for learning anything else. It's no wonder they are willing to do idiotic things; they are brainwashed to the core.

I can also say the same about fundamentalist Christianity right now, and for several decades in the past. How many fundy-types here in the States have resorted to abortion-clinic bombings, assassination of abortion doctors and such? And I'm smack here in Atlanta, where we're still affected by Eric Rudolph's gift to the world back in July of '96.

firstly i agree that religious fundalmentalism is wrong which goes for chritistian fundamentalists as much as muslims. There is nothing wrong with islam as a religion, but often it is perverted just as christianity can be, by extremists.

Nearly 95% of armed combat in the world in 2005 involved Muslims fighting on one side or the other.

You can hardly bring up any other religion with an overwelming number like that.

Again, not bashing any race, just stating a fact that to me is quite alarming.
