A skinny man would be less of a target and would avoid the majority of the shotgun pellots. A 400lb man is a bigger target and stands a greater chance of having a pellot finding its way to one of his vital organs.

They would be killed just the same. The bullet would have no trouble going through skin and fat especially a 12 ga. slug which can go through most soft body armor!
