I think it is as adaptable as any religion. As with the others, so much depends on how it is implemented.

None of the Abrahamic religions are compatible with democracy "as the west knows it" if they are followed fundamentally.

By "as the west knows it" are you referring to the kind of democracy that allows a President to steal an election, lie to his country, invade a country for no reason and kill thousands of civilians and still manage to avoid any kind of punishment?

The kind of democracy where you can lie, cheat, steal and murder and it's ok?
