DO YOU ADMIRE RICH BRATS WHO'S PARENTS HAVE MONEY MORE THAN SELF MADE FOLK?

I have difficulty admiring rich kids who hob knob with politicians and are born with a silver spoon in their mouth and get everything paid for, including college, and go to a job based on who DADDY is when they graduate rather than earn a real job. I think adding to the repugnance of some of these types of people are how they look down their nose at working class types as though they are lower class, which is complete nonsense.

I have a lot more admiration for those who come from less than well to do, who save their money, pay their own way thru college either by serving in the military or holding down several jobs to make their way thru school, then thru hard work and determination make something of themselves.

Not everyone falls into either category, there are self made men who are axxholes and people born rich who are extremely kind and generous and will hang out with anyone from homeless on up, but I think a lot of times people do fit into the before mentioned category and it's really sad.

Are you more apt to admire someone who has gotten where he is thru his own work and determination than thru inheritance?

Yes, I admire hard work and determination more
No, I admire someone who is born rich more

And yes, I know already two people are going to say "I get to know someone before I can admire them" in order to play off the political correctness card, which is okay, but in this sense I, YES, am talking in generalities *GASP* heheheh

which is one of the many reasons why I have no respect for our current president.

For the record, I don't agree with a lot of what he's doing. There are some really serious issues I have with several situations, #1 being the incredible profits the oil companies are raking in, #2 being the bill now in congress that proposes removal of the governer authorization for letting the president mobilize the national guard. There are others, but how about for the risk of my sounding like a closet liberal I stop now :P

Honestly, I really really really disliked Kerry. And I won't vote for Hillary either, I'm sorry but I just don't know who she is. I'm sure I'll get more into that later, why waste good discussion that will appear on later ballots.

I am not apt to admire anyone based upon the amount of money that they have accumulated.

In this aspect, I can acknowledge and respect a person's efforts -- although I'd respect them for their hard work even if it hadn't resulted in wealth.

Oh no ... Jappy isn't drinking the Kool-Aid! wink

Seriously, though ... if you disagree with them too much, they will label you 'Liberal.'

And that label is one that they run like hell away from isn't it?
