BAD NEWS NEO-CONS, FOXNEWS CAUGHT USING OBVIOUSLY STAGED PHOTOGRAPHS

Well, not exactly.

Actually al-Reuters was once again caught using obviously staged photos from hezbollah.

There are a series of three photos, in the first you see a man standing in the rubble with a suitcase, next he pulls out some childrens toys and in the third you see a childs doll, amid the destruction that just tears at your heart.

Guess which of the three they chose to go with?

You guessed it! The final product, but somehow they neglected the part where it was being put together, fortunately the AP managed to hold on to those pictures.

Now they've been doing this alot lately, but so far people have come to their defense claiming simple error, or perhaps sensationalism.

But how many times can they make 'errors' that serve to only make one side look worse while making none that harm the other side before you start to suspect bias? Because this week they've had the faked pictures of israeli bombers, photoshopped images of smoke supposedly from bombs, a picture of a lebanese woman that was reused to make the destruction look worse, a picture of bomb damage that was used three different times with three different captions and now this. So 5 in a week and people still claim simple error free from any bias.

Fine, how many errors before we start to think maybe a little bias?

No more, I already suspect them
Maybe 10 a week
20 or more per week
As many as they like, just so long as they criticize the US and/or Israel
Oh please no! Not another ballot like this

And as a side question: how forgiving would you have been had foxnews made a similiar 'mistake' but one that made israel look good? Would you allow them 5 obvious fakes in week? Or would 1 have been too many?

Reuters wasn't caught by a credible news agency (unless you can cite me an article), it was caught by you. The photos weren't "staged," although, by showing only a Lebanese man with his childrens' toys and no Israeli men, they are being biased. Possibly there are no Israeli men pulling their toys out of rubble. Doubt it though.

And *every* news agency shows bias, but all this means is that I'm not going to take anything Reuters says with a larger grain of salt than I normally would.

himself; those photos (did you look at them?) clearly show them staging a photo-op. You aren't supposed to do that if you want to be considered a fair news agency reporting the truth.

Look at the photos please, then report back.

Like I've said, this thing wouldn't be tolerated from foxnews, but for reuters and the rest of the gang there will always be plenty of excuses.

Nice touch with partially disrobing the doll's pink dress. Now if someone would have sprinkled some dust on that teletubby doll, it would have been more believable.

Herzog, you need help. Seriously, you are totally obsessed and it appears almost driven to madness. Boring.

Oh get real. Like it would not be covered up if it was Fox News. Herzog, I'm kind of worried about your mental health. Obsession is driving you to becoming delusional and you're kind of freaking people out.

I guess some of us are concerned when the media fakes the news, and some, due to extreme personal prejudice, are not.

I believe the media should not produce fake photos. Others disagree. That's fine, our society is able to tolerate all sorts of opinions, even obviously flawed ones like those who see no problem in this sort of thing.
by herzog on Sat Aug 12, 06 1:03am [+]

But I have to ask, what would motivate a person to accept such behavior from what ought to be an unbiased news organization? What sort of deep personal flaws or tramatic experiences could possibly convince anyone to accept such a disgrace? Obviously all true americans are opposed to the media blatantly fabricating news stories for their own purposes, so what drives some to come to their defense?
by herzog on Sat Aug 12, 06 1:10am [+]

patch22us - for me this is more controversial. Why? Because i already know that Fox News is bias and I don't trust them, whereas I did trust reuters. Furthermore, Fox News is pretty much widely accepted as being bias, so there is les need of lengthy discussion of already established facts. Whereas on the other hand, reuters is hardly ever accused of bias, and I personallly have trusted them. This is why I personally see this as being very interesting.

I always find it rather amazing that when lies are exposed that people have odd reactions. Often they will do an apples to oranges comparison. Other times they will attack the messenger. Sometimes it will be the source that is attacked (even though it is correct).

People have knee jerk reaction when it is shown that what they thought was the bias in the news media actually isn't. They think the media is all for Israel. When photos and other staged items that attempted to paint Israel in a bad light are exposed, they just cannot deal with. It doesn't fit their reality. One might think that people would say "wow, this propaganda is really bad, lets do something about it". If it doesn't fit their reality: deny it, deny it.

what else is new?

i don't see why they'd need to stage anything, the facts alone should be able to stop iseal if people were willing to hear them.
by neothe1 on Sun Aug 13, 06 12:15pm [+]

haha, that mickey mouse one is so obviously fake, it's amazing they even put it in there. At least they got the caption correct heh.

Yeah, I am so glad you pointed that out. We hate it too. Thanks for shedding light on it. Hopefully some people will see that they do that. I'm glad you posted it.
