I don't know. The UN seems more interested in criticising Israel than Hezbollah.
No Herzog, no one is trolling you or sabotaging your ballots. The fact is, you have this annoying habit of labeling anyone who comments on your ballots...who disagrees with you, as a troll. Its pathetic. Attacking you? Hardly. This is a free site and as such, if you can't take the heat, don't participate. Sounds fair, right?
They should probe Israel. Its about time. Umm, Herzog, as you so often point out, Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, which they are, so just how do you propose the UN "probe" them? Do you think they have a membership list some place? Do you think they are all in one place, acting all governmental like? Doubtful. Any probe of Hezbollah, or any terroirst organization for that matter, will be difficult to carry out and I think they realize that at this point, it would be near impossible, since they're scattered in all directions.
This is sad.
Alright patch I'll explain it to you one last time, then I'm ignoring you until you calm down and regain your rationality.
Criticism is fine. My ballots are constantly criticized, and debated. And that's fine. Steelhamster, cathexis, fiddle and socrates on occasion, mojo, jyl, and others have all disagreed with me before and sometimes very strongly (sorry to anyone I left off, this was just off the top of my head). But I've never called them trolls nor have I asked them to avoid my ballots. In fact I'd be very disappointed if they did because I enjoy the hearty debate.
You, cranky, dung, and the others are acting like trolls because you obsessively follow my ballots and comments around and direct criticism not at what I said or the topic, but at me specifically. You offer nothing to the debate, you fill the choice box with comments that have nothing to do with the topic and you generally make a nuisance of yourselves ranting and raving against me, rather than discussing my viewpoints.
That is why you are being a troll right now.
I would be more than happy to welcome you back in to the first group, if you'd calm down, think, and post using your head, rather than this emotion laden running diatribe you've set yourself on these past few days.
Come back to reality patch, you're missed.

And I think everyone will acknowledge that I've never backed down from a challenge that was presented to me in a civil manner. In fact I think I've been called out for being too tenacious at times. That being said I have no interest in responding to the rantings of an obsessive troll, I've tried that with other users and let's just say that it gets very tedious, very quickly. So I've learned from that and that is why I am ignoring all trolls and will continue to do so.

Sorry Herzog, but you're wrong. One, YOU back up my point in that you create these ballots, on the same topics over and over again. In effect, you are cloggin up the ballots list. You think I or others are following you around? Funny, you were just so nice to me in out last exchange of private messages. You seem to think you can create the same ballots on the same topics endlessly and then claiming you're being stalked. You're not. Given that YOU are the one cloggin up the ballots list, we have every right to participate in any ballot we wish. If YOU have an insecurity, then I suggest you not post ballots anymore.
As for welcoming me back into the first group... get a grip! Your ego is out of control.

Really? Would you like for me to post all of your nice message to me and vice versa? So now you're going to lob me into that general category? Careful Herzog...if pushed, I can very easily produce every single comment I have ever made about you and people will see that they are in fact, nice and praising you.
So are you surrre you want to make the above statemetns about me? See...yet again, one of your tactics.
If I show people on here the nice messages and all the comments I have ever made about you or to you, users are going to say "Wow, Patch used to idolize Herzog up until just last week...what could have happened??" Then they'll see that it was you who brought this all about. :)

Herzog, when will you get it into your head that Hezbollah are TERRORISTS. What would possibly be the point of officially investigating a group that doesnt play by the official rules?
Israel will naturally be judged to a higher standard because they claim NOT to be terrorists, and they have the moral highground to MAINTAIN.
Your support of Israel is obviously unconditional in every respect, but surely you can see that they are the ones that must be held accountable, whether you think them guilty of war crimes or not?
lil ape: isn't it hypothetical to hold one group to one standard and another group to a different standard? Isn't that what is known as 'a double standard', which is usually considered a bad thing?
If the UN criticized hezbollah at all I'd be content, but they don't.
Instead they ignore their war crimes and instead focus all their energy on going after Israel. This is an unforgivable bias.
You'll note also that while they have laid down hundreds of formal complaints against Israel they have issued none against the PLO, which is recognized as a near sovereign state and which routinely engages in terrorism.
The UN has as much credibility with regards to Israel as a neo nazi group would, their bias is too large to overlook or excuse so we should take all their statements on the subject with a huge grain of salt.

It would be hypocritical yes, IF we were comparing entities that professed to be equivalent, which Hezbollah for one certainly dont. They are terrorists, they realise this and the international community realises this. Israel is a democracy with elcted leaders and basic rights and standards.
Hezbollah dont receive the same level of criticism because terrorist behaviour is EXPECTED of them. Israel are expected to be better than that. Its a compliment if anything.
Hezbollah are not claiming national sovereignty or professing to hold true the ideals that we in the west have come to value, they simply look to cause terror for one reason or another. This is known and accepeted and as such to direct criticism at Hezbollah is futile and superfluous.
I want to make it very clear by the way that I do NOT expect Israel to sit back and watch missiles fly into their country, like a lot of liberals on both sides of the Atlantic DO. They have the basic right to defend themselves, and the Lebanese government are either unwilling or unable to cut the problem off at source, therefore Israel must take action.
My qualms concern the nature of Israels military response, which I believe was criminally careless and caused unecessary/avoidable civilian casualties, which IMO amounts to a war crime.
They will eventually. Just like with Jenin and other things. What they will find is that many claims against Israel have been greatly exaggerated. Hezbollah will get some criticism, probably for locating their "soldiers" and weapons in civilian areas. Little if any criticism of Hezbollah's kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers will result even though this is what started it all.
