Here's Ms. Possum to the left and Mr. Badger to the right.
EYE have a soft spot for possums because they're in our yard nights cleaning up the squirrels' leavings. But badgers are cute too- badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom!

I don't think I've ever seen a badger in real life. We get lots of opossums around here though (even had one living in our garage for awhile). I'm very fond of them (and no, I've never eaten one - even if I do live in Alabama).

They're both cute. There was some show on Animal Planet that showed Badgers as being mean. I wonder if thats where the expression "badgering" came from?

There's a baby possum that comes into my screenhouse every night to eat my cat's leftovers. He's really quite darling and I'm considering naming him. My asshole boss looks like a badger, so I'm not going to even give that one any of my affection. I know, it's not their fault....

There are a few possums that come to our house at night that I pet.

They only let me pet them lol. Anyone else tries and they get hissed at.

Possums. We've got them around our house too. They make excellent garbage disposals. I toss it out in the woods for them though because I dont care for them getting too comfortable with hanging around too close to the house.

They're not as mean as badgers, but they've got teeth larger than most medium size dogs and can really put the hurt on something if they have to.

(POSSUMS do NOT carry rabies, btw. I just wanted to say this.. because I know they aren't cute like puppies and people are afraid of them if they hiss. But they're not usually dangerous, they're just sorta rat-looking.)
