WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING U.S. WARS WERE NOT ETHICAL?

[+] serious ballot by neithan

Ok, just to inform, I live in Greece and I would very much like to know what people in other countries (mainly the States) believe about these wars.
The question is whether these wars were made for the "right" reasons (mainly:threat against the US, freedom from dictatorship, terrorist centre etc.) or for the "wrong" ones (i.e.:profit, oil, war industries, world domination etc.).
Please don't be offensive against me... This poll is conducted from pure interest about your opinions. Thanx

Vietnam
Afghanistan
Iraq (1st)
Korea
Iraq (2nd)
Yugoslavia
Lebanon (US helped)
None of the above, all US wars were legitimate
All of the above
Vietnam, Iraq 2
The Civil War

COMMENTS:
Well I think on the fist Iraq war, Iraq had invaded Kuwait, right? So that one was a lot more than just the USA. I think there was a very big coallition of forces that were against Iraq, so that one was a more global effort.

As for Vietnam, it had already been started when the French controlled it as French Indochina (I think that what it was called). As for our getting involved, thats a different story. :)

Oh yeah. As for Yugoslavia, we were invited in as part of a Nato operation, so that one does not count either (you know what I mean) :)

It is true that the US were called to Vietnam by the French, but what did you gain (or expected to gain) by this involvement?
As for Yugoslavia there is an ongoing joke that describes NATO as North Atlantic Terror Organisation...:)
Finally, weren't the US the ones that provided Saddam with his weapons and supported him in fighting the commies?

The structure of the ballot essentially allows only three options:

* A single selection
* 'All of the above'
* 'None of the above'

Seeing as there are at least two I would take exception to, and at least two that I might give slack to ... I find I can't really vote.

Cathexis, you are probably right. BUT, is there a chance of creating your own choice of the two you want to vote, or of one that I might have not taken into consideration?

The war on poverty, afterall, the poor deserve poverty--at least that's what the so-called conservatives tell me.

No wars are ethical, but some are necessary.
