NO. The death penalty is wrong in ALL cases.

Yes. I feel just awful about all the people who've been sent to death row by mistake, lucky most of them have been exonerated, even some George wrote off.
BUT, IF our great courts and lawpeople can be sure of a person's guilt then they should be tortured publically and left to suffer and starve. It's a shame for taxpayers to feed and house killers for decades.. WHY is their life worth so much- there are 6 billon other people.

Yes. And, I feel awful about all the innocents who suffered rape, torture, murder, and worse, at the hands of the Death Row Scum.
Ya but what happens when 20 years from now they get new evidence saying that the person they killed was'nt guilty? Then there family sues you and when this continues people start to get angry. People dont do it because they know that they wont get that bad of a charge but because they like doing it. You cant stop them without help. Just look at micheal jackson hes addicted to little boys like a stoner with drugs.

The death penalty has been shown to not be an effective deterrent to homocide.
It does, however, stop criminals from killing... again.

I'm not sure capital punishment deters murder, etc. Usually, when someone kills, they are not evaluating the consequence. That does not mean I'm against capital punishment though. It stops that person from killing again and is sometimes comforting to the victim's families.

BUT only if it gets used. Executions are such a big deal because they are so rare. There are decades of appeals, outcome reversals, commuted sentences, last minute reprieves. No wonder, it's no deterrent!
Let's face it, some crimes are so horrific that jail time as "punishment" is a joke. Plus, we don't have many escape-proof prisons. Plus, jails don't "rehabilitate;" if they did, we wouldn't lead the world in recidivism rates.
The only sure cure, guaranteed safety of citizens from these monsters is to erase them.
