Texas Rangers and Anaheim Angels get into a bench clearing brawl after the pitchers from both teams took turns plunking one another over the previous 3 or 4 innings. As I watched the batter running towards the pitcher, and the pitcher throwing down his glove, I realized that, despite the obvious anger and rage, it gets really funny to see someone running full speed at someone else and trying to throw punches without slowing down. Then of course 30 more people run in there, and it's hard to tell if this is A) a bench clearing brawl, or B) a dog pile celebrating a World Series victory, except for the two different colored uniforms. To be honest, baseball players look like some of the worst fighters I have ever seen. Out of all the crazy wild punches thrown last night, I noticed only one connect, with some guy's armpit. I imagine maybe that hurt? But I don't know that it's a devastating punch by any means. With what, probably at least a dozen bench clearing brawls a year, is it a good thing that MLB players are such terrible fighters?
