COMMENTS:
IMO, many Libertarian sare still stuck on old paradigms (e.g., the threat of Communism, concerns about property, etc.)
Libertarianism in my opinion, is a Trojan horse for a laissez-fairre agenda, the tenets are, look out for number one and that society does not exist. They whine about taxation, welfare and the most rudimentary healthcare. Its a case of 'hey I'm alright Jack' because they are usually in a position of privilege, and seek to fight behind the barriers against the rest of the unwashed.
Voted : The Media
The Libertarian candidate for president in 2004, who was on the ballot in 49 states, along with the Green party nominee couldn't get a mention in the media even if they got arrested (which they were).
Voted : Nobody can spell it or knows what it is
Back when I trolled Uncle Bill's Universe, I had a dear friend who was a Libertarian, and I used to tease her mercilessly by calling her a Librarian. I need to find her...
Voted : Dissent among Libertarians, themselves
Whacky libertarians are the biggest threat to themselves. Although they aren't much of a threat to anyone without though.
The elites pose the greatest threat to liberal society. They do not generally support capitalism/human rights unless it works to increase their power. We fight against socialism and its close cousins fascism and corporatism because nearly all of the actions the elites take against human rights fall under one of those banners.
You seem to be talking about libertarianism, when you speak about inequalities, time to bin this fallacious dogma, THC
^Liberalism = libertarianism Socialism only brings equality in servitude.
