ARE ALL REPUBLICANS RACIST OR ALL RACISTS REPUBLICAN?

[+] ballot by Guest From 70.81.80.166

Actually, i'd go with the latter because this is generalisation and i think it is closer to the truth.

All racists are republican.
All republicans are racist.
Fuck you, you liberal homosexual bitch.
None.
All liberals are gay.
All gays are liberal.
The last two were jokes.

COMMENTS:
Oddly enough three gay friends of mine are Tory voters, which I find strange given the policies of that party.

Voted : All republicans are racist.
^That does seem odd, although there are even a couple of gay conservative propagandists on this site.
by cranky on Sun Aug 20, 06 12:19pm [+]

^Also there is an even number of homophobic liberals who like to call conservatives gay.

After viewing the variety of choices, (presumably from the same author) this became the first ballot of which I utilized the option to "approve" (didn't know I could even do that). I didn't approve of it because I agree or even like it's content. Only that it speaks to a largely unspoken underlying current of negativity, and overall DISmissal of other people on this site who sympathize with a point of view other than our own. It was probably written by a regular user anyway. One who doesn't possess the integrity enough to put his/her own name on it.

This is just plain silly. Some Republicans are hispanic and afro americans. Are they racist too?
by Searchlight on Sun Aug 20, 06 2:27pm [+]

I don't expect anyone on this site to actually "get me" anyway; although, I have made a few GOOD friends here, (or at least I consider them as such) and I THINK THEY DO (GET me, that is) It's especially sweet when that happens. So, I don't care what happens positively or negatively to my karma/aura as a result of my "approval" of this ballot. My life is already too rich to be concerned with such meaninglessness! Please excuse this excursion into a more philosophical expression. I'll make no pretense about it; it's MY OWN ARROGANCE. :p) So, as for the ballot being written by some "Anonymous" bastich? It's not. I would never have actually written it; but, it's mine, nonetheless. Rate it if/how you like. It's of little consequence to me.

Corrupt:

I call 'em like I see 'em.

And one of those gay conservative propagandists has openly admitted to being gay. Is it homophobic, then, to merely restate what the individual has already stated for himself?
by cranky on Sun Aug 20, 06 2:42pm [+]

All Republicans are clearly not racist.

However, it does seem that the vast majority of US racists that affiliate with a political party seem to be Republican.

see ballot #100774 for the more positive perspective of the same topic. I love the fact that this ballot was written by a "guest user" (ie. someone who wasn't brave enough to put their name on it) It highlights the point I've wanted to make for quite some time. BTW, no stepping forward NOW anyone; I saw the card, and I am now picking it up to "play" it. If you have anything to confess, you can private message me. That way, we'll keep it as our little secret.

Cathexis,
Negative karma received and gladly absorbed; one has to be true to oneself. I'm going to continue to do the same; because, you see, I believe b&w has a huge elephant sized issue defecating in our living room floor everyday; and, this may be the only way to get people to address it. Somebody has to be willing to stand up and take the heat. It's my own variation of the Mahatma and MLK, Jrs passive resistance.

contra -- the -K was given to the anonymous 'FU' option above. No user name was associated, so I could not follow up directly. Assuming it to be a Guest User, I did rank it down.

While I can understand your frustration with the ballot, I don't think that option was constructive and I do think it was offensive.

However, the K penalty was automated; had I known that was your option, I'd have followed up directly via Pvt msg, rather than doing the -K.
by Cathexis on Sun Aug 20, 06 5:09pm [+]

Agreed. Offensive indeed. But, what's more offensive is that, instead of representing the majority of feelings around here, you represent a very small camp.
