your comment on this ballot is worth more to me than all three of the other mechanisms put together. Most of the time I try to say what I mean, and mean what I say. Sometimes I indulge in sarcasm and cynicism though; but, too much of it becomes dark.

And, that's not to say that I hold the mechanisms in contempt. I use all three on a fairly regular basis. Something about asking for praise, though, just sets wrong with me. And, I'll admit, I have done it early on in my time here. But only once or twice, I think. Then I had to stop and really consider what I had just done.
