SHOULD MEN AVOID 'CAREER GIRLS?'

[+] serious ballot by Cathexis
ACTIVE Fri Aug 25, 06 - Tue Feb 10, 09

Forbes.com published a story Aug. 22, 2006, by editor Michael Noer on two-career relationships -- specifically the effect that females with careers have on them, opining that engaging in such relationships leads to a rocky marriage. He claims that recent studies have found professional women are more likely to get divorced, more likely to cheat, less likely to have children, and, if they do have kids, they are more likely to be unhappy about it.

A 'Career Girl,' as he refers to them, is defined as having a university-level (or higher) education, works more than 35 hours a week outside the home, and makes more than $30,000 a year. He does not consider a woman that has a 'lower-level job' as a 'Career Girl.'

Do you believe that men should avoid these 'Career Girls,' as relationship partners?

... or might Noer be a sexist idiot? wink

You need only look at the sexist title of this tripe (career "girls") to understand the mentality that produced it. Is Mr. Noer a career "boy?"

What are we to make of Mr. Noer's claims? Let's see: If a woman has a career she is less likely to want children. Shocking. Next, a divorce is more likely for a female professional. Why's that? One possibility: when a woman has financial means without a husband, she is much less likely to tolerate boorish behavior and male dominance. Shocked.
Educated women are harder to herd. Amazing.
Further, as long as a "girl" makes less than 30K a year she isn't considered a "career girl." Why don't these lower income women share the same stats as their upper cousins? Because they aren't making enough money to survive on their own and they have to tolerate the aforementioned boorishness and control freakishness of the ordinary "career boy."

Research is it? Give me a break Mr. Cathexis. If you marry a woman with a professional career, she will stay with you because she loves you and not because you are the "bread winner." Men have to work harder to make a financially independent woman happy. It's about time!

Forbes, the magazine owned by the inbred idiot, Steve Forbes, who was born a billionaire, and somehow has convinced himself that he pulled himself up by his bootstraps.

Women should be chained to the kitchen sink by day and then be chained to the bed at night.
Also an hour of freedom to do the shooping.

Why stop there? Why not restrict the right to pursue a happy fulfilled life to people on racial as well as gender lines? Why not ban left handed people from public office or short people from singles bars? Finally why refer to a woman as a girl?
