Take out the spaces.
I think al-Reuters was hoping the dust had settled so they could pull off another propaganda coup for their terrorist buddies. They just don't get it.
And if you look at the series of pictures of the 'injured' palestinians you'll notice that they have a number of them in the same dramatic pose, only slightly different. As if they posed several times to get the best shot, with their buddy supposedly bleeding to death on the stretcher they stopped for a photo op. Reuters: all the pro-jihadi news their dedicated staff of dhimmis can dream up.
I am wondering about this increase in fake stories that are coming out of what I would call liberal media over the past few years...Rather, Jayson Blair, fake photos, and more. Does anyone know of a single instance where a "rightist" outlet {Fox, The Washington Times, The WSJ, etc} have put out a blatantly fake story? I am wondering how long the people who run these companies think that they can get away with publishing patently fake news?
Interesting. The Associated Press had reported that his brother "Salah" was "one of the men involved in the kidnapping and killing of Israeli soldier Cpl. Nachson Waxman in 1994. Apparently, he and another person were killed when Israel tried to rescue Waxman. I wonder if this photographer might have a bias... I think the truck hit a tree or something by the looks of it.
Does anybody besides me see the irony of the biggest liar on B&W being so concerned about the alleged lies of others? (herzie ballot category: liberal media bashing)
' Does anyone know of a single instance where a "rightist" outlet {Fox, The Washington Times, The WSJ, etc} have put out a blatantly fake story?' Noblese: I haven't heard of any, although I've offered this challenge numerous times. It seems the far rightwing pro-bush foxnews hasn't fabricated evidence to make bush look good or dems bad, but the completely unbiased and moderate media that is most definitely not liberal (tm) has fabricated a great deal of stories. Who knows how many, these are just the ones that have been caught and already it's too many, I've a feeling we've just hit the tip of the ice-berg here.
What I can't figure in this whole mess is what reuters hopes to gain by this? What benefit do they get by being the mouthpiece for hezbollah and hamas like this?
"What benefit do they get by being the mouthpiece for hezbollah and hamas like this?" Untrue. Reuters isn't the mouthpiece for Hezbollah and Hamas. Of course, one could ask what the neocons get for being the mouthpiece for Israel.
Cranky, going off topic helps no one here. Like I said once before, all this does for me is make me take Reuters with a larger grain of salt than I normally would have.
http:// news.yahoo.com/ news?tmpl=story&u=/ 060827/ 481/ efcde6f4547f4ae5 9234b39c0fe462e8 Check out this 'casualty' of the israeli 'missle' strike. His shirt is bloody, but lo and behold his white cotton t-shirt underneath it is still perfectly white. This is a bold lie even for the leftwing media. I can't believe they really expect us to swallow all this, especially not after their last round of fabrications. Why are they so desperate to make Israel look bad?
Actually, it looks like Foxzog may have exaggerated another story. Here's the truth: "Israeli Airstrike Hits Reuters Vehicle Israeli Airstrike Hits Journalists' Car in Gaza, Wounding 5 The Associated Press GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Israeli aircraft fired two missiles early Sunday at an armored car belonging to the Reuters news agency, wounding five people, including two cameramen, Palestinian witnesses and hospital officials said. The Israeli army said it did not realize the car's passengers were journalists and only attacked because the vehicle was driving in a suspicious manner near Israeli troops in the middle of a combat zone. The airstrike on the journalists' car came as Israeli soldiers backed by two dozen tanks, two bulldozers, helicopters and drone planes moved into an area just inside the Gaza Strip near the Karni crossing, witnesses and Palestinian security officials said. The Reuters cameraman, Fadel Shama'a, 23, and Sabah Hamida, 25, who worked for a local television company, had the doors open and were about to get out of the armored vehicle in the nearby Shajaiyeh neighborhood to film the raid when it was struck by the missiles, according to Shamas Odeh, chief of Reuters TV in Gaza. The cameramen, along with three bystanders, were injured with shrapnel wounds and all five were to undergo surgery, hospital officials said. The front seats of the car were covered in blood and shrapnel had ripped up much of the inside of the vehicle. One of the bulletproof windows was completely destroyed. The white sport utility vehicle was emblazoned with the Reuters logo and had "TV" and "Press" written on it in English, Arabic and Hebrew. "This is a cold-blooded crime," said Mohammed Dawdi, head of the local journalists union. Capt. Noa Meir, an army spokeswoman, said the vehicle was the only one in the combat area, was driving suspiciously and came near Israeli forces during the nighttime raid. "That's why it was targeted. It was seen as a threat," she said. "There were no clear TV marks (on the car). At least we didn't see one." "It's unfortunate when journalists get hurt, but that is not the intention," Meir added. * * * * * * * * So, the Israeli military admits to having targeted the vehicle, admits to the whole scenario, in fact. So who do you believe? A Yank rightwing internet addict, with obsessive hatreds, or the Israelis? On this one, I think I'll go with the Israelis. (herzie ballot category: "Media Bashing)
They didn't exaggerate the 287 cluster bombs the Israelis fired at civilians Herr zog -5'ed this comment of mine in the choices, guess the truth hurts the bigot.
Ken: Some people just can't tolerate freedom of speech.
No ken, I rated it down because it had nothing to do with the ballot question. Enter comments below, actual ballot choices above, it's quite simple.
Think about it ken, have I ever rated you down for your insane rants when they are placed in the comment area where they belong?
That silly little ignorant comment has nothing to do with the ballot question Herr Hypocrite, a lot less to do with it than mine in fact - which has everything to do with it! Counter propaganda to your pathetic ballot! MWAAA HA HA HA!
But I believe the Israelie military is actually admitting it hit the vehicle. An Israeli air strike hit a Reuters vehicle in Gaza City on Saturday, wounding two journalists as they covered a military incursion, the news agency reported. One of the Palestinian journalists, who worked for a local media organisation, was seriously wounded. A cameraman working for Reuters was knocked unconscious in the air strike, one of several in the area. Sabah Hamida, who works for a local news website, was seriously wounded in the legs. Fadel Shama’a, a Reuters cameraman, received no major bodily wounds, but was knocked unconscious. Doctors said his condition was not life-threatening. Blood spattered the seats of the armoured vehicle and the ground nearby. The Israeli army claimed the vehicle was hit because it was acting suspiciously in an area of combat and had not been identified as belonging to the media. “During the operation, there was an aerial attack on a suspicious vehicle that drove in a suspicious manner right by the forces,” army spokeswoman Captain Noa Meir said. “This car was not identified by the army as a press vehicle. If journalists were hurt, we regret it.” However, the white sport utility vehicle was emblazoned with the Reuters logo and had “TV” and “Press” written on it in English, Arabic and Hebrew. Michael Lawrence, Reuters Managing Editor for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “We are deeply concerned at this attack on a clearly marked press vehicle as journalists were doing their job to report the story from Gaza. We understand that the army says it had no intention of targetting the media, but this incident is totally unacceptable and we urge a careful examination of how this happened to ensure there is no repeat.”
If you look at the picture it's clear that the vehicle was not hit dead on. Perhaps a building nearby was hit and some debris fell on the truck and dented it a little. But it obviously did not take a direct hit. And in all likelyhood Israel is simply apologizing because they know there's no way to clear their name on this, given the lengths the media has gone to fabricate lies against them. And given the damage I seriously doubt the people were injured nearly as badly as they claim. If you look at one of the 'casualties' you can see a man covered in blood, but oddly enough his white undershirt is perfectly white, looks like he just bleached it in fact. This and the obvious posings make it clear that no real injuries occured.
