OK, I'll get the ball rolling....
It's a trick question because there was no conspiracy!
Would any sane person having been involved in setting that up, even as part of a black op, come out afterwards and say on TV, "Hey everyone, I helped murder 3,000 people. I was a willing mass murderer, and did it for money. Lots of money. They paid me real well to kill all those innocent people, and I'm not worried in the slightest that they'll probably kill me too because of what I'm about to tell you...now these were the people who employed me, top of the list is..."

Watch the usual suspects have conniptions below. Also, notice that most of these users who want to use 9/11 as an example of how America is becoming a fascist state are exactly the same one who:
1. Are Holocaust deniers
2. Japanese war crime deniers and apologists.
3. Use fascist tactics of shouting people down and intimidation of dissenters by calling them "shills", traitors, etc.

I noticed instead that you are trying to put everyone who doubts the 9-11 bullshit story in the same basket without any evidence. I dare you to find posts by me, by Ken from Dublin, by Blackcat06, where I or they have posted any comment as "holocaust deniers" or whatever. I don't believe that I've ever posted on the nazi holocaust ballot. I'll defend the rights of others to free speech to the death though. When the members of a society are no longer allowed the freedom to question, then they are no longer free.
You must be some kind of fascist.
Clearly this is proof that the government has those little flashy things from men in black that erase peoples memories and allow new ones to be impanted.

Let's look at some of the other ways, witnesses are kept quiet.
Legal gag orders; thousands of FAA and airport staff have had legal gag orders imposed on them.
Harrassment; many witnesses to Flight 93 exploding in the air have been harassed and were threatened by the FBI, told to keep quiet "while investigations were continuing" but in a very intimidating manner.
Media blackout; the mainstream USA media have ignored any witnesses who go against the official story, and generall called them "kooks", etc. They did the same tactic during the Watergate scandal, and other occassions.
Harrassment of academics; this has happened too much, and too many times, to be denied.
Harrassment of whistleblowers for other crimes; remember what happened to those people in the government who blew the whistle on the WMDs in Iraq lies? They didn't only lose their jobs, they were harrassed and insulted publicly, called "liars", "attention seekers", and "kooks".
Take a look at who controls the media. Do you think they'll give any face time to anybody who wants to speak out about the truth?
I regret giving any more attention to conspiracy theories, but I have to say that I agree with you, widehead.
The number of people that would be necessary in order to pull off a conspiracy of this magnitude is so huge that the likelihood of ALL of them keeping to themselves one of the biggest secrets ever is reduced to a very low order of probability.
Intuition and conspiracy theories seem to be mutually exclusive.

I doubt it would be anymore difficult than hiding most other major secret intelligence operations which we never hear about until years, decades later. The NSA apparently was founded in 1949, and had more staff than the CIA, a greater budget, more facilities, and it was hidden from the USA public for nearly FORTY YEARS. Until the late 1980s, the average person didn't have a clue that the NSA even existed!
More recently, the Iran-Contra conspiracy managed to be hidden for a while too, and the first whistleblowers to that were harassed and insulted in the USA media too.
When sceptics said that the WMDs in Iraq claims were lies, they were harassed and insulted by the shills too. The USA news media went along with the lies like trained poodles.
Hours or maybe even days after 9/11 these people were shipped off to area 51 and locked in a building with all the dead alien bodies and UFO's. The people you see walking around now are body doubles with no memory of the event.
Apparently George "the moron" Bush is too stupid to spell or speak right and the US government is moronic, but somehow they managed to not only pull off the greatest act of deceit in the last 100 years, but they managed to keep hundreds and most likely thousands of people quite. That aside, this is one of the reasons that I don't believe 9/11 was orchestrated by the US government.

IF it has been possible to gag, intimidate or silence so many, many people why on earth haven't the conspiracy theorists been silenced?
No one seems to care about the "truth being exposed" on the internet or other media - "Loose Change" the mother of all b*llsh*t movies is probably going to get a theatrical release....

This sarcastic retort from Coldcircuit highlights my point precisely. If we are to believe the conspiracy theorists thousand sof people are fearing for their lives - not so Avery, Rowe and Bermas the guys behind "Loose Change". They can be seen lording it up at ground zero harrassing victims families, taking part in many, many radio interviews and generally whoring themselves for every penny they get from their DVDs and hopeful theatrical release of their movie.
These are just three guys out of hundreds who, if what they were saying is true, would be the first people to disappear off the map.

It doesn't require "thousands of people" to know the ENTIRE STORY, now does it? How may does it really require? Possibly less than a dozen, and only a hundred or so would know enough ot their little piece of the operation to think it might be suspicious..

Does the guy driving the truck need to know the whole story of the conspiracy?
Does the courier delivering mail need to know the whole story of the conspiracy?
Do the paramedics treating the injured survivors at the WTC need to know the whole conspiracy - if ANY OF IT?
Do the doctors at the hospitals who treated the wounded from the WTC need to know the whole conspiracy - if ANY OF IT?
Does every single staff member of the FBI, CIA, and whatever else need to know the WHOLE STORY of the conspiracy, or even if there was one?
And again, mu point is evaded. Well done.
You can't make a convincing argument for hundreds of people being involved. Your points weren't evaded, they were shot down.
