COMMENTS:
And fess up, which one of our usual bunch of nuts is Ahmadinejad using an alias? Come on, this guy sounds alot like many of our crazier users.
yep, sounds almost exactly like certain users on this site.
Voted : He is just attacking Israel indirectly as part of national policy
Can you imagine the debate Bush & Ahmadinejad would have had--talk about "Dumb & Dumber." They ought tomake that a pay-per-view event.
^ (herzie ballot category: Bashing Iran)
Ahmadinejad sounds like a typical rightwing anti-Semite.
I think this is to anger Israel
Voted : He is just attacking Israel indirectly as part of national policy
It's a good political tactic in the Middle East to take on Israel in this way. It'll gain a huge amount of support among the common people in the Middle East. He probably doesn't care either way about the truth of the matter, it's only politics.
Voted : He actually believes this nonsense
Though I'm not gungho for any war in Iran, from what I've read about this fella he does seem to be a delusional loon. Certainly not to be trusted. But then the same applies to Blair and Bush doesn't it?!?

He expresses some doubt and all of a sudden he's being labelled. Would you rather have a leader who expresses no curiosity what-so-ever?
bee: curiosity on some things, but not this. If he were to express doubts about the world being round I would likewise think he was a raving idiot, not a freethinking radical out to change the world.
You can surely concede the possibility that the victors of a war could EXAGERATE the crimes of their former foes though, yes? To claim that the holocaust never happened would seem misguided to say the least (though I wouldnt lock someone up for saying it), but its a fact that the history books are written by the winning side, who Im sure want to make their former opponents look as bad as possible, to keep both domestic and worldwide opinion on their side.
By the way, I dont agree with you quoting 6 million slaughtered as FACT, when to the best of my knowledge the actualy number is not accurately known. Im sure a couple of our more "enlightened" users will undoubetdely label me a holocaust denier for making the entirely reasonable points I have concerning the ACCURACY of statistics, not the event itself. So Ill just say now I do NOT deny the holocaust happened, and ignore anyone who tries to tell me I do.
lil_ape: but he isn't merely questioning the amount. He's saying the entire thing was fabricated. Not that that corpse mountain over there only contained the bodies of 5 million jews, not 6 million, he's saying that pile of bodies is an illusion put their by the americans and british.
^As i said, for me the event itself is virtually unquestionable (only in the sense that I, myself, was not there to see it, as with the majority of the events worldwide), but it annoys me when people quote the specific 6 million figure as fact. Let me make it clear, I find myself day by day drawn to the conclusion that Iran is a great threat to world peace, that must be dealt with somehow.
And for me, the two ballot choices are not mutually exclusive. He could well be both.
'And for me, the two ballot choices are not mutually exclusive. He could well be both.' Possibly. Although I think he's sharp enough to know that his propaganda is just that. I get the feeling he's just playing it up for the masses, to turn their attention away from their own squalid lives that are barely worth living, so they don't think about finding out the real source of their misery and maybe ousting their own government.
