COMMENTS:
George Bush is mean spirited, arrogant, and so stupid he doesn't understand that he is stupid. If he did he would quit making television appearances and speeches. Is he a good and decent person? No. He doesn't know what good and decent means. In his world, good and decent means that you treat your servants well.
Well I did say that I was playing Devils advocate here. I like to think issues through one by one and try to avoid political dogma. So what do I really think of Bush? To be honest I think that he is less than honest but then so are 99.99% of all other politicians. I think that he is insensitive to many issues that ordinary people have to deal with because he has never had to really try hard at anything in his life. I dont believe that he is really in charge of the Neo cons. That job probably goes to Dick Cheney. Is he another Hitler? Of course not. Hitler was a product of a specific time and place. I think that calling people names like "Nazi" and "Hitler" is the worst kind of showboating a person can use in a debate. President Bush is neither the best or the worst person in the world. I dont think he is the worst President in history. So he is hated. So was Nixon, Reagan and Clinton and so was every other bozo who sat in the Oval office. You can call Bush a fool if you want to but underestimating your opponents is surely more foolish.
Voted : Searchlight, you are talking out of your arse again
I wouldn't accord him any benefit history may have to offer. If he's ever painted in any light other than the consistent cloud of blackness he's used to drench this country in dishonor I've vowed to rise from my grave and haunt the person who did so.
If Bush had been alive during the Civil War, he would have been in favor of slavery.
actually, if you could seperate him from anything to do with politics or decision making, he would be a very nice, fun type of person (now that he's passed his frat-boy phase). that's because he's so dumb. that's probably why he's being used the way he is.
I agree Neothe. I think that Bush is very personable which is why Michael Moore screwed up in Fahreheit 9/11 by showing loads of footage of Bush down on the ranch or playing golf. Moore was playing Bush's strengths.
"Bush's strengths?" Golf? Is he a good golfer? Is he a good rancher? Do you think so?
What I was trying to say is that people often vote for candidates who they feel comfortable with so John Kerry and Al Gore were way too stiff and patrician where as Bush is a good ole boy.
I thought that was kinda an act.

"Moore was playing Bush's strengths." exactly. "What I was trying to say is that people often vote for candidates who they feel comfortable with so John Kerry and Al Gore were way too stiff and patrician where as Bush is a good ole boy." and still he lost.
He will only be considered an historic visionary if the Committee for Public Decency and Proper Thought is established during his 6th term in office, as directed by Diebold and/or the US Supreme Court.
