COMMENTS:
The movie is "based" on a true story. It is NOT a true story. All "based on" movies take liberties with the facts for "dramatic purposes". Remember it's a movie, it has to be entertaining so it will make more money than it cost to produce. Also a movie is limited in length so it has to make compromises in the story line so it isn't so long you get bored. A book has no time limit and can go hundreds of pages and include alot more info and detail. Welcome to the real world of "true stories" in movies.
Grapost, yeah, I know, but at the same time, is what Vince did in real life all that special?

Apparently the movie producers thought so.

Making the NFL at *all* is a remarkable feat, considering the tens of thousands of schools across the country that run multiple-level football programs. Personally, I've had about ten of my younger cousins who've made the effort to go through the system, and one has made it pro, one semi-pro.

Still amazing the guy never played college ball.
VINCE CONGRATULATIONS IM A RETIRED PORT AUTHORITY POLICE OFFICER THAT THINKS YOU ARE TOP OF THE LINE THEY DON)T COME ANY BETTER. THANKS PHIL MEHLING &FAMILY.
He's really really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Movie dramatics or not this guy is remarkable to have accomplished making the NFL. The average 30 year old man Grapost with no college ball much less one year of high school play is avsolutely amzing and what a great example to be a motivational speaker that you can accomplish the most difficult goals. So my hat is off to Mr. Paple you have my respect and admiration. goldiegirl821
