Is this in any way relating to the 9/11 conspiricies? Cold hard facts against small discrepancies here and there?

I agree. The 9/11 conspiracy theories use the same sort of lame methodologies and plainly illogical thinking as any pseudo science.
The 9/11 conspiracy theories employ the worst kind of cod pseudo science. Whole areas of evidence are completely ignored and small percieved inconsistencies are focused on to the exclusion of everything else. Please dont bother to fill this thread up with your interminable cut and paste "arguments". Nobody reads them.

That's nice, but then you've never brought any facts to a debate, so it's doubtful that you know very much - including what other people think.
I trust the polls internationally more than your claim about other people's opinions. In most of those polls, and most ballots on this site, the majority quite clearly believe that a faction of the government of the USA was directly involved in the 9/11 attacks. Like as they say in Japan, "America is like a man stabbing himself, and saying it wasn't me, they did it".
Most people have more cynicism about what the USA government says on any matter. They also recognise that the same USA government is the one that LIED about WMDs in Iraq, and tell LIES about almost everything else as well.

I agree that the "Arabs Did It" 9/11 conspiracy theory pushed by the USA government and by their shills on message boards is the worst kind of cod pseudo science.
Most people are smart enough to recognise controlled demolitions (like WTC 7 in particular) when they see it. Most people know that no steel-framed hi-rise has ever suffered total collapse due to fire, and when steel-framed hi-rises collapses, it's NEVER straight down into their own footprint at near freefall except with controlled demolitions.
Most people are also smart enough to realise that cellphones can't make successful calls from passenger planes flying six miles up at over 450mph, and therefore the alleged cellphone calls were all FAKE.
Now real physics has shown that the total collapse of those buildings was impossible without controlled demolition. NIST by the way has now completely denied the "pancake collapse theory" that was promoted by NOVA/Eagar. Which sort of leaves them with NO EXPLANATION. It's a fact that nobody has succeeded in simulating those collapses with the empirical data, except as controlled demolitions. It's a fact that NIST couldn't simulate the collapses either, but gave up because in their worst case scenario the buildings still wouldn't collapse with the empirical data, but instead NIST filled out their reports with assumptions because they couldn't simulate it. It's a fact that a group of Chinese engineers with a $50 million dollar budget (more than double NIST's budget for the investigation) were only able to get the buildings in their simulation of the Twin Towers to collapse by weakening the steel in the simulation to UNREALISTIC levels - and that even then, the collapse took 90+ seconds.
Interesting points Robot thinker but a lot of scientists would poo poo your thinking and accuse you of make epistimological arguments. Newtons theories work whether we believe them or not. Newtons theories are the experience of everyone who has ever experimented with them. Newtons theories are therefore not an assumption based on memory. Ya know the older I get the more I accept that we need a form of intellectual apartheid. Some people use correct methodologies and logic and some people believe fantasical stories based on distorted "facts" or half told stories. As long as nobody starts to burn the other sides books we could get along just fine. Darwin for the successful people. Intelligent design for the less successful. OK, so its a bit dystopian but it would work.

I Too prefer Science over all that other stuff! People are SO gullible And 'brainwashed' of course..! Everywhere, all over the world! Ordinary people and even some not so ordinary people are easily indoctrinated into various Religions, Beliefs, Ideas, Nationalisms, Habits, Ways of Life, and so forth..!
Science is admirable, seeks the truth, facts, reality, and provides us with many modern miracles that we wouldn't have otherwise!
Who knows what other wonderful things may become available to us in the future thanks to Science!
But it we succeed in wiping ourselves out, well that's that..
