IS IT TRUE ABOUT COMPUTERS?

I've heard that you can never remove data from your computer, that an expert can find everything , even if you delete, it's always there on your hard drive

Yes, thats true
No, not true
There are ways and means

If a physical hard drive is erased enough times then the data is gone forever. This method is called "Ghosting".

In some cases when you think the computer is deleting data behind the scenes the space is just being made available for re-use and not actually deleted.

Better be more careful where you put that porn Larry ....

Just run a strong magnet over it. Nothing will be left or usable ever again.

Most of what is deleted is merely 'un-indexed,' freeing up that location for future storage. Unless certain situations occur, the information can be completely or partially recovered.

However, in certain situations, the information is not recoverable ...

* If the location is overwritten by other files.

* If the location is wiped (specifically targeted to contain null information)

I'm not certain if reformatting accomplishes the second situation.

Oh, yeah. In the land of computers, nothing is ever "gone."

Sounds like a great speach for a parent to feed their kids!
For those of us who only know enough to function, yes... for an expert, no.

when you delete stuff your just making it invisible to the users and the next time you write to a file it will overwrite the deleted info. but somehow you can always get the stuff back. best way = step 1. get large container full of thermite step 2. put hard drive in container step 3. light thermite

btw: light in safe place lol
