Voted : Completely sane, makes perfect sense to me
Yes they do. Have children one day and you'll know why, of that I'm sure. Too bad you can't be a Mother because from what I can tell, no one can understand what a Mother feels when she loses a child, except other Mothers. Give Cindy a break, would you? You can't be blind to the blood Bush has on his hands. Besides, if you're talking sanity, how sane is if for the President of the United States to start a war that kills thousands of people and doing so knowing that it was a lie. There is a new book out that you should read. Bush administration insiders say that leading up to the Iraq war, Bush was driven to almost insanity at his hatred for Saddam Hussein and that it was all personal for him. Now that is insanity. Who do you care more about? This President, who is a killer, or the regular people who got killed and will get killed because of his lies? Moral choice time.
^ What Beauregard said.
Now, she should be reviled for going so far as to publish books calling for the exile, imprisonment, or death of all conservatives and for other vile comments about anyone who disagrees with her. Oh wait ... that was Ann Coulter, regarding Liberals. Your sense of outrage is SO selective herzog.
She is so dramatic, and just wants attention. Her son died a hero. She should be sad but proud.
Someone should go back in time and give her a historectamy so we dont have to listen to her anymore
Voted : Maybe a little unhinged
While I can certainly understand how she might feel about losing a son, the story above isn't the whole story. She has had a pattern of behavior that many view as being at least a little on the erratic side. Most people that vigorously oppose a president don't hang around with world leaders that are the enemy of the US, they don't publish books saying things like this (they are more reserved), and they don't go around making their son the complete and utter victim when he in fact had volunteered for duty. She has unfortunately become a lightning rod for controversy. People tune out the message because the messenger seems at least a little bit unhinged.

Voted : She lost her son; she deserves some slack
Fantasies are harmless as long as they are not acted upon. The problem with going back in time is that you create a paradox: If for example you went back in time and killed your father thereby making it impossible for you to exist, how could....You see the problem. Mr. Bush is apparently part of our national destiny. Let's hope that destiny isn't nuclear war.
I'm sure there are times when George Senior fantasizes about going back into time and killing the infant Dubya to avoid the utter humilation of having that jackass as a son. And there is nothing worse than losing a child. I'm sure such a tragedy has driven many bereaved parents to thoughts of suicide. But, of course, a confirmed bachelor neocon couldn't understand such things. (herzie ballot category: "Cindy Sheehan Bashing")
good answer, cranky the racist
Who cares about Cindy Sheehan?
then i guess she's not too smart. bush is just a puppet leader, he doesn't make decisions. he's not the decider. the only change to the timeline killing him would create is that some texas brush would remain uncleared
"Her son died a hero." let's look that word up, shall we? noun: a man distinguished by exceptional courage and nobility and strength well, certainly noun: someone who fights for a cause perhaps, but that cause was profit, and he was forced to fight for it. that makes him a slave, and a victim. he was murdered.
Voted : Completely sane, makes perfect sense to me
I'm with Beau on that.
Voted : A grieving mother
Its a sad fact with consevatives when they hear an unpallatable truth, attack a grieving mother. If she was in any way wrong in her statements, noone would care, but she drives anti-war opinion, so of course she must be attacked.
Voted : A grieving mother
Sheehan is sick with grief and I only have pitty for her. That being said no one should take anything she says seriously after these last comments; I never again want to hear her name uttered in debates about politics because she clearly is not stable.
Steel, cath, et al, how long has she been grieving now? We've all seen the carefully staged photo-ops of Cindy at her causes . . . sorry, sons cemetary, where she looks oh so sad, surrounded by all the A-list leftwing celebrities she could find. But being a grieving mother doesn't give you claim to make any ridiculous statements you want and get away scot free. The woman is insane, she demanded US troops remove themselves from 'occupied' new orleans, she protested the blue angels as a vital part of the war in Iraq, and she's claimed to be on a hunger strike for two months now, nevermind the photos taken of her stuffing her face. She's crazy. Just because she supports your cause doesn't make her sane.
It seems like it'd make more sense for her to go back and kill saddam, thus alleviating the need for a war. But if she did either then she couldn't have made millions of dollars, rubbed elbows with the stars, or had her 15 minutes of fame. So given the ability to do so I've got a feeling she wouldn't have acted to prevent the war.
"It seems like it'd make more sense for her to go back and kill saddam, thus alleviating the need for a war." yet again, that would accomplish nothing, because there never was any need for the war.
Of course, Cindy Sheehan is more of a man that the confirmed bachelor neocons who criticize her.
