I think Clinton should have risked it. Yes, countless innocent people would have died but so too would have some of Bin Ladin's financial and spiritual supporters.

Mr. Bin Ladin is only the figurehead of terror. As we can see from Iraq, killing one leader only leads to another. If we can prevent specific terrorist activities which, if they succeeded, would kill many people, then perhaps we should consider using all means and circumstances to eliminate the threat.

The CIA claimed they couldn't be sure bin Ladin would still be there once the cruise misslies arrived. What a crock. They can't ever be guarantee a target will stay put.
